Crime blotter for January 30, 2009

Good morning, folks (or as someone I know saids, "mornin'"), it's 6:30am. Today is Friday. That means the end of a long week for most and a pay check. I'm glad it's Friday. The neighborhood was kind of popping off last night. There was some kind of Battery in progress at Diversey and Pulaski, then some incident took place around Schubert and Springfield. This took place right after I left you guys last night. Anyhow, here is crime for this afternoon and evening.

5:23pm - I've been back since 3:34pm, but it's been extremely quiet.

5:24pm - 1) Check the well being. 3802 W Wellington. Mother needs to be checked on. A strong odor was smelled there yesterday. 2) Parker. 2550 N Hamlin. Something blocking something.

5:33pm - The Wellington job is coded out 19Paul. Everything is fine.

5:40pm - Beat car 2524 pulls an RD from the Hamlin parker. It's HR146250 and the event is 12926. Also, they are running a plate on the car.

5:41pm - The plate comes back clear and vaild to an address on Avers.

About 6:42 to 6:45pm - EMERGENCY on Zone 12. A Crown Vic is not stopping for a 15th district unit around South Boulevard and Lombard in Oak Park. Oak Park PD has been notifed.

6:45 to 6:47pm - Woah. Big argument breaks out between officers at South Boulevard and Lombard. It turns out an officer in the Crown Vic wasn't stopping is ANOTHER POLICE OFFICER. Shocking. Now one office is pissed off and is swearing at other cops. Multiple units/supervisors are heading to the scene, as well as 1599.

6:47pm - Battery. 3635 W Armitage. Male offender with a brown jacket kicked and threatened the caller.

6:52pm - Police/dispatch chatter regarding the police verbal melee at South Boulevard and Lombard.

6:57pm - I have to go eat now.

7:28pm - Domestic disturbance. 3149 N Springfield. Boyfriend/girlfriend issues.

7:39pm - I'm back from dinner.

8:02pm - Person calling for help. 3704 W Fullerton. Someone was pulled into a building while another person is screaming for help.

8:08pm - Disturbance. 3167 N Milwaukee. At the Burger King. A male White with a burgundy and a black hat, black coat and black backpack is causing a scene.

8:11pm - I'm going to go. Don't know how long for, but I may come back tonight. If I don't, see you all tomorrow. Good night and be safe. Also, the 8:02pm job is coded out 18Boy.
