Here is crime before I go this morning and for this afternoon.
6:08am - Auto Theft in progress. 4113 W Belmont. A white car, the caller's car, is being stolen.
6:11am - An officer on scene at the 6:08am job is asking for a callback.
6:12am - A slow down is given on the 6:08am job.
6:16am - The 6:08am job is going to be coded out because it's happening at 2113 W. Belmont, which is in the 19th district. The call's being transfered over to Zone 2.
6:46am - I have to go now. Have a great day, everyone, and I'll be back this afternoon.
4:14pm - I'm back. Sorry that took so long. I was writing an email to a reader. Anyway, there's a Battery at 2648 N Kildare. Somebody got hit.
4:52pm - Fire. Pulaski and Barry. Car on fire.
5:01pm - Beat car 2524 is running a VIN from the 4:52pm job.
5:02pm - Dispatch says the VIN doesn't come back.
5:03pm - EMERGENCY on Zone 12. Someone just got battered at Grand and Monticello. An ambulance is needed.
5:34pm - Person shot. 1650 N Central Park. 15 yr old was shot coming out of the store. EMS enroute.
5:37pm - The 5:37pm job is bona fided. EMS and 14th district units on scene.
5:38pm - The job happened in 14, so I will be switching over to 14 for coverage of the shooting.
5:44pm - Parker. 1742 N Winchester. Blue car.
5:45pm - Beat 1453 is handling the paper on the shooting. 1422 is following Ambulance 10 to Mount Sinal from the scene.
5:48pm - Sounds like something happened at Diversey/Kimball/Milwaukee involving CTA.
5:49pm - EMS run. Fullerton and Western. Male bleeding by the Marathon gas station.
5:52pm - Beat car 1453 is switching over to Citywide to request the ET at Wabansia and Drake. I'm switching the radio to Citywide 2 to hear the request (it will be in this color).
6:00 to 6:02pm - Beat 1453 would like the ET at 1702 N Drake. The RD is HR184890. It's on the street. Something from the offender has been recovered at the scene. There is no blood on the street. Also, other general police/dispatch chatter about this.
6:02pm - Dispatch tells 1453 that ET isn't needed for this job. There's really no crime according to him. Also, other general police/dispatch chatter about this.
6:04pm - Beat car 9630 is looking into the request for this shooting.
6:07pm - I'm back on Zone 12 but I have to go eat now. Will be back soon.
6:23pm - I'm back from eating.
6:24pm - Traffic accident. 2759 N Pulaski. One driver is supposed to be intoxicated.
6:40pm - Beat 2505 is doing a park check at Kosciuszko Park.
7:14pm - Beat car 2505 is now doing a park check at Mozart Park.
7:41pm - Theft. 3850 W Fullerton. Someone just stole some stuff.
7:52pm - One of the Gang or Tac units gets an info for the police on 2523's beat.
7:53pm - Beat 2525 asks for an event number for the DOC.
7:57pm - Beat car 2524 has a parker going on the box.
8:00pm - An RD number has been pulled from the 7:41pm job. It's HR185090 with the event of 15221.
8:03pm - I have to go now. Good night, everyone, and I'll be back tomorrow.
