Premit violators on Oakdale

Good morning. It's 12:14am. Since today is going to be so warm, I'm heading out for a couple of hours this afternoon to enjoy the weather, so crime will not be monitored all day. Anyway, here is crime for today.

12:00am - Parker. 4050 W Oakdale. Premits. This is the one and only call I'm covering for a few hours while I sleep. Good night, everyone, and be safe.

8:51am - I've been back for the last 54 minutes now. Anyway, the laborers are out. At the gas station. 3181 N Milwaukee. Oh, by the way, a shout out to all my readers who have officially made the website counter have 1004 hits. Thanks to all who continue to read this blog. That means you guys really care!

8:55am - Burglar alarm. 1749 N Harding. The side door is going off.

9:02am - The 8:51am job is coded out 19Paul. Also, there is a domestic disturbance at 2511 N Lowell. Husband has been smoking pot and possibly drinking. He also hit the caller.

9:50am - Apparently the 8:51am job was un-coded because an RD is going to be drawn from it and an arrest was made. Update, at 9:51am: The RD is HR158241. Event number is 04960.

11:34am - The alarm on Harding is going off again. Note: It's been real quiet.

11:40am to 12:03pm - Was not paying attention. Sorry.

12:03pm - Someone is going in with one from Fullerton and Monticello.

12:08pm - Battery. Avers and George. Someone was hit in the face.

12:12pm - There is a better description on that 12:08pm job. Two male Hispanics hit a person in the face with a bottle and now the person is bleeding. EMS is on scene (can be confirmed by me because I saw the ambulance heading that way from my window about 7 minutes ago now. The offenders took off in a smaller white car.

12:17pm - Beat car 2552 asks for a Gang or Tac unit's assist at Harding and Armitage. Unit 2563Adam says they'll go.

12:21 to 12:23pm - Police/dispatch chatter about the 12:08pm job. Ambulance 3 is going to St. Mary's with the vitcim.

12:28pm - An RD is pulled at 3939 W North for an Assault. It's HR158481. Event number was not caught in time.

12:35pm - Alarm. 2455 N Killbourn. Nothing further.

12:41 to 12:49pm - EMERGENCY on Zone 12. Speed chase is occurring in the area of Armitage and Pulaski. Beat 2552 had a car take off for him at Armitage and Grand when he went to investigate two male Blacks that were checking out the Subway and Dunkin' Dounuts. The car went eastbound in the north alley of Armitage to about Pulaski or Keystone, then went north. This sounded like a very intense chase over the radio. Hell, I heard sirens all the way from here.

12:50pm - The car involved in the chase is speeding east on Belden from Avers. This is per a citizen who flagged down Beat car 2550.

12:59pm - Beat 2563Eddie has a traffic at Hamlin and Dickens. A working computer is needed.

1:01pm - Beat car 2524 asks to be held down at Hamlin and Dickens.

1:04pm - I'm going to go now for a couple of hours. Everyone, please enjoy the day and be safe.

Around 2:30pm - I've got word of the neighborhood going totally insane ... again. This time, a shooting happened at George and Avers. Someone was shot once in the leg and driven to the hospital by friends before an ambulance came. A white Toyota is the offending car. I'm being told it's a bona fided shooting since blood and bullets were found on the street. In related news, large fights have been breaking out in the area. Reportedly, police have called to the area at least five times.

4:25pm - Criminal damage in progress. 1754 N Monticello. Male Hispanic teens are tagging the wall under the viaduct.

4:34pm - 1) Gang disturbance. Killbourn and Wrightwood. Male Hispanic gang members harassing people. 2) Disturbance. 2703 N Ridgeway. 3rd floor people having a problem with the basement neighbors.

4:43pm - Police/dispatch chatter of the shooting around 2:30pm. Crime scene is at 3820 W George. Looks like this shooting actually happened.

5:02pm - Beat car 2524 is on a traffic stop at Wrightwood and Killbourn. Running a plate.

5:05pm - Beat 2524 asks dispatch if there has been any calls of a gang disturbance at Fullerton and Central Park. Dispatch answers that there has been one call, but it's more serious then a gang disturbance. It's a Battery in progress with 7 minutes on it. 3607 W Fullerton. At Tony's. Eight people are fighting in front with bats and bottles.

5:16pm - Gang disturbance. Diversey and Harding. Gang members throwing bottles at passing cars.

5:28pm - Disturbance with a mental. 2134 N Hamlin. Daughter is out of control.

5:33pm - Beat car 2525 needs a Spainish speaker at the 5:28pm job.

5:39pm - Parker. 2000 block of N Tripp. Premits.

5:42pm - Beat 2525 is taking the mom and daughter to Hartgrove from the 5:28pm job.

5:43 to 5:44pm - More police/dispatch of the earlier shooting at 3820 W George.

5:45pm - Parkers for Beat car 2523 on the beat on the box.

5:46pm - Gang disturbance. Springfield and Wabansia. A roadblock has been set up by gang members. Every time someone tries to pass it, snowballs are thrown at them.

5:57pm - The 4:34pm job on Ridgeway is coded out 19Paul.

6:24pm - Commerical alarm. 3949 W Palmer. Basement motion. At the material company.

6:30pm - Beat 2524 needs dispatch to call the alarm company on the 6:24pm job.

6:48pm - Domestic Battery. 1903 N Harding. I'm guessing the caller was hit or something.

7:01pm - Disturbance. 3167 N Milwaukee. At the Burger King. Intoxicated male is coughing on people's food and harassing costumers.

7:23pm - Beat car 2524 is heading back to 3949 W Palmer to assist the owner.

7:32pm - I'm going to go eat now. I will be back in a little bit.

7:44pm - I'm back from dinner.

7:58pm -Traffic accident. 3108 N Milwaukee. One of the drivers refuses to give information.

9:16pm - Gang disturbance. 2417 N Ridgeway. 2 to 4 gangbangers arguing.

9:19pm - An unmarked unit is speeding down my block. I think they're trying to pull the car over.

9:20pm - 45Sam15 needs another saturation car at 2857 N Ridgeway. I'm guessing there's a traffic stop.

9:25 to 10:08pm - Was not paying attention. Sorry.

10:11pm - Disturbance. 3149 N Springfield. Intoxicated male is asleep in the hallway.

10:14pm - Criminal damage. 3142 N Keystone. Six male Hispanic teens just threw rocks and broke out a window.

10:15pm - EMS run. 3919 W Fullerton. Male having chest pains.

10:17pm - 1) Parker. Belmont and Kosnter. Red car blocking the crosswalk. 2) Parker. 3100 N Harding. No further information.

10:26pm - Disturbance. 1800 N Harding. Between Harding and Pulaski. Talking and dogs barking could be heard.

10:30pm - EMERGENCY on Zone 12. Sounds like a car just took off on a unit at Schubert and McVicker.

10:33pm - It appears that the unit lost the car. Back to regular Zone 12.

11:09pm - Battery in progress. Diversey and Springfield. Male Black beating on a female.

11:20pm - Parker. 4019 W Wellington. No further information.

11:23pm - Shots fired. Couple of calls. 2815 N Ridgeway for the 1st one. Then the 2nd call (we called this one in) is on the 2800 block of N Ridgeway. I, and one of my neighbors, heard four shots fired. Sounded like shots were fired in the alley.

11:25pm - Person shot. George and Ridgeway. Male was shot in the stomach.

11:26pm - Multiple units are rushing down the street, as well as a fire truck.

11:27 to 11:35pm - Police/dispatch chatter regarding the shooting.

11:35pm - One shell casing has been found at 3731 W George.

11:36pm - Norwegian American General Hospital, at Cortez and Washtenaw, gets a person shot in the back. He just arrived. Walk in patient.

11:38pm - Beat car 2599 asks for two supervisors to call him in 25 regarding this shooting.

11:39pm - Battery in progress. 2712 N Central Park. People can be heard fighting at the scene of a party.

11:42pm - A sliver two-door or a dark blue four-door are involved in this shooting. One is possibly a Dodge Durango.

11:47pm - The vitcim's not talking over at Norwegian. Seconds later, it's revealed that the vitcim lives on the 2800 block N Ridgeway. Wow.

11:54pm - 45Sam15 says he has a witness who saw the shooting. They're waiting for another car so the witness can go to Area 5 for questioning.
