Good morning, everyone. It's 12:05am. I wasn't planning making a post until around 2pm today, but due to the shooting that just happened about 15 minutes ago, I decided to make a post. I will be monitoring for the next hour or two before I head to bed, then I probably won't come back until around 2pm today unless something arises from the shooting tonight. Here is crime for today.
12:00am - The person shot in the head from the 11:47pm job last night only has a graze wound.
12:02am - Shell casings have been found at Altgeld and Keeler per Beat car 2550.
12:03am - 1) Suspicious vehicle. Diversey and Pulaski. Five males in a black car driving around. 2) Beat 2525 has a parker on the Beat. 3) Seven shell casings were found at the shooting.
12:06am - More shots fired. This time at Fullerton and Tripp.
12:07am - Beat 2563Adam is at Fullerton and Tripp, and sees/hears nothing. 2523 is given a disregard.
12:09am - The exact address for the shell casings will be 2500 N Keeler.
12:26am - Beat car 2590 tells 2531 (who's on the paper for the shooting) that he should call the fusion center to see tape from the nearby POD cameras that could be of good use.
12:36am - I'm going to bed now. Good night, everyone. If nothing major happens before 1:50pm today or until 3:30pm, I won't cover until then.
1:50pm - Good afternoon, everyone. I'm here until 3:29pm.
2:21pm - Domestic disturbance. 2025 N Karlov. On the first flloor porch. Problem with the abusive husband.
2:27pm - Beat 2523 is on scene at the 2:21pm job.
2:34pm - Theft in progress. 4307 W Drummond. A washing machine is being stolen.
2:49pm - Assault in progress. Diversey and Pulaski. Four males are chasing the caller.
2:50pm - Domestic disturbance. 2124 N Hamlin. Having problems with the boyfriend.
3:02pm - Beat car 2562Charlie needs a transport car at 3851 W Schubert for someone, I guess.
3:09pm - A backlog has been put into 25.
3:10pm - 1) Disturbance. 2900 N Avers. Intoxicated male sleeping on the sidewalk. 2) Landlord/tenant dispute. 2140 N Hamlin. No further information. 3) There are several other pending jobs for the coverage area but I didn't catch them in time.
3:11pm - Beat 2562Charlie is going in with one from 3858 W Schubert.
3:22pm - EMS run. 2823 N Kenneth. EMS is requesting police for a person down.
3:30pm - Disturbance. 3058 N Lawndale. Two intoxicated males are sleeping on the sidewalk.
3:33pm - All right, folks, I'm leaving until midnight. I have other stuff to do. When I come back, I'm going to be monitoring 14 all day tomorrow. See you all then.

I think your blog is great! Keep up the good work. I was browsing through old posts and came across the phrase "slow down was given for such-and-such address..." several times. Do you know what giving a "slow down" means?
First off, thanks for the complient :-). I enjoy informing everyone of what's happening. Second, the phrase "slow down" means that responding officers don't need to come so fast. They can drive at the regular speed.
