Pulaski Day

Good morning, everyone, it's 9:24am. Happy Pulaski Day to everyone out there. I've been up since just before 7:30 this morning monitoring but it's been extremely quiet. I'm going to try my very best be here all day, but I'm not feeling too well (my throat is sore), so if I leave early, don't be too surprised. Here is crime for today.

8:03am - Beat car 2523 asks for a DOC mission number.

10:13am - Beat 2523 is doing foot patrol on the 3900 block of W Diversey.

10:40am - Criminal damage to property. Diverrsey and Kosnter. Male in a blue parka just caused some damage.

11:25am - Vicious animal. North and Monticello. A black pitbull chased a male northbound. It stopped but it's still in the area.

11:47am - I don't know the nature of this job, but the parent of a battered child who attends ASPIRA High School, 3986 W. Barry, is in the main office now.

12:12pm - An RD number has been pulled from the 11:47am job. It's HR195123 with the event number of 06541. This incident occurred on the 26th of January (from it sounded like). It also sounds like Beat car 2523 is going to be taking someone in from this.

12:23pm - Beat 2523 is heading in with one female from the 11:47am job.

12:43pm - Traffic accident. 4418 W Diversey. Citizen got hit by a car. EMS enroute.

1:10pm - Gang or Tac unit 256X (didn't catch that last number) gets a selling. Location unknown since dispatch says it's a secret.

1:11pm - Apparently there was a job at 1604 N Monticello because Beat car 2506 is doing a recovery from that location.

1:31pm - Disturbance with a mental. Armitage and Pulaski. Male Black with a black coat and red backpack is yelling at and trying to hit passing citizens.

1:33 to 1:36pm - Beat 2506 is chattering with dispatch regarding the 1:11pm thing.

1:42pm - The owner of the car from the 1:11pm thing has to go to work so they can't recover it right now. Beat car 2506 says he or the owner is going to have to order up a tow.

1:43pm - The owner from the 1:11pm thing is ordering up their own tow.

1:45pm - Beat 2573 is running a plate at the 1:31pm job.

1:48pm - Beat car 2573's plate is coming back clear.

2:56pm - Reckless driver. Belmont and Central Park. A white car is driving recklessly.

3:45pm - Burglar alarm. 3034 N Lowell. Dining room motion.

4:31pm - Domestic disturbance. Wabansia and Harding. Male Hispanic with a three quarter length coat and white cap arguing with a female Hispanic on the corner.

4:41pm - Parker. 2300 block of N Pulaski. Black SUV on the east side in violation of the no parking sign.

4:45pm - Assault. 1929 N Pulaski. At the group home. 20 yr old male who belongs to the home threatened a staff member.

4:54pm - Disturbance. 2333 N Springfield. Kids playing football in the alley.

5:05pm - Disturbance. 4001 W Fullerton. At the currency exchange. Problem with the clerk.

5:08pm - Beat 2525 asks for a call back on the 4:54pm job.

5:10pm - Beat car 2535 is going in with one from the 4:45pm job.

5:11pm - Suspicious person. In the alley between Montana and Altgeld in the 4400 block. Two males acting suspicious by an older green truck with ladder.

5:23pm - The 5:05pm job is coded out 5Frank.

5:54pm - Beat 2566Adam has a traffic stop at 4027 W Oakdale.

6:12pm - Beat car 2523 has a parker going to the PDT on the beat.

6:13pm - Domestic disturbance. 2636 N Kildare. The intoxicated friend is causing problems and needs to be removed.

6:14pm - I have to go eat now. I'll be back soon.

6:35pm - I'm back from eating.

7:07pm - Person down. 2929 N Ridgeway. Intoxicated male down in the alley. EMS enroute.

7:10pm - The ambulance that's responding to the 7:07pm job goes down my block.

7:20pm - Now a call comes in at 2941 N Ridgeway for the same thing as the 7:07pm job.

7:53pm - Reckless driver. 4000 W Barry. Green car driving recklessly and heading east.

7:58pm - I have to go now. Good night, everyone. I'll be back tomorrow morning.
