Good afternoon, everyone, it's 4:08pm. School was good today. I see that the gangbangers are out. I saw several gang members on the corner of Diversey and Ridgeway. They didn't really look like they were going to do anything. Alot of craziness will happen today for several reasons. One, it's a full moon, 2) it's Friday the 13th, and 3) it's nice out, so everyone remain careful tonight. Here is crime for this afternoon and tonight.
3:39pm - Assist the citizen. 4045 W Oakdale. An elderly woman needs some kind of report.
3:45pm - Burglar alarm. 3907 W Wrightwood. Garage motion.
4:20pm - Vicious animal. Hamlin and Wrightwood. Large pit bull on the corner.
4:32pm - Criminal damage. 3953 W Armitage. Male Hispanic, 15 yrs old, grey jacket with two females just tagged the garage.
4:42pm - Beat car 2525 gets something on the PDT.
4:50pm - The 4:32pm job is coded out 19Boy.
4:53pm - Reckless driver. Diversey and Pulaski. Burgundy pick-up driving recklessly and passing everyone up. Going southbound on Pulaski. Note: Dispatch says this call has some time on it.
5:04pm - Domestic Battery. 3707 W McLean. Someone's causing a disturbance and hit someone I guess.
5:15pm - Gang disturbance. Monticello and Fullerton. Five gangbangers representing on the corner.
5:21pm - Beat 2555 needs another car at the 5:15pm. Right away, they give a disregard because 2523 pulls up.
5:25pm - Beat cars 2555/2523 are going in with some people from the 5:21pm job.
5:41pm - Gang disturbance. Kildare and Fullerton. Gang members flashing signs and harassing people.
5:43pm - Beat 2524 says there's a traffic accident at the scene of the 5:41pm job.
5:53pm - Burglar alarm. 1702 N Harding. Back door motion.
6:05pm - Beat car 2522 is taking two in from the 5:41pm job.
6:09pm - Gang disturbance. 3646 W Fullerton. Ten gang members flashing signs.
6:24pm - Beat 4500 has five on the hood at Fullerton and Ridgeway. They need another car.
6:27pm - A slow down is given at the 6:24pm thing.
6:30pm - Assault in progress. 4135 W Fullerton or 2340 N Keeler. Gangbangers driving around and threatening each other.
6:32pm - A parking ticket is needed at Fullerton and Ridgeway.
6:42pm - Assault in progress. 3050 N Avers. The neighbors are trying to hit the brother with bottles at the scene of a traffic accident. Also, 2523 gets a municipal job.
6:47pm - Alarm. 2847 N Pulaski. General.
7:00pm - I have to go eat now. I'll be back soon.
7:30pm - I'm back from dinner.
7:40 to 7:42pm - EMERGENCY on Zone 12. Male Black with a black coat and red sweater is running east on Washington from Lavergne. At 7:42pm, the suspect is in the alley of the 4900 block of W Washington.
7:43pm - It sounds like the suspect ran towards 167 N LaPorte.
7:44 to 7:45pm - Chatter regarding the foot chase.
7:58pm - 1) DCFS needs some assistance at 3743 W Armitage. 2) Recover the stolen car. 1920 N Lawndale. No further information. 3) Parker. 2219 N Keystone. No further information.
7:59pm - A backlog has been put into 25.
8:10pm - Beat car 2525 gets a parker on the PDT.
8:17pm - Suspicious person. 3604 W Dickens. Male Hispanic, 45 yrs old, 5'7, blue jeans claims that his car broke down. Caller thinks he's suspicious.
8:43pm - Beat 2505 does a check at Kelvyn Park.
8:46pm - Beat car 2530 needs a car to assist him at 3743 W Armitage on the 2nd floor. They're also calling for a supervisor. Units 2535 and 2546 are en route.
8:52pm - Beat 2530 says no more cars are needed on Armitage.
9:00 to 9:54pm - I've been sleeping on and off, so I didn't pay attention. It's just some very long days I go through sometimes. I'll cover this time period next week.
9:57pm - Traffic accident. Wrightwood and Pulaski. Damage to a semi after it went under the viaduct.
10:12pm - They're calling back over at 3743 W Armitage. Beat car 2523 arrives and goes to talk to the caller.
10:15 to 10:16pm - I had to change the batteries on the radio.
10:20pm - An RD number is pulled from the 9:57pm job. It's HR214436 with the event number of 19250.
10:22pm - The children from the 10:12pm job are going to be transported to Children's Memorial Hospital for examination.
10:43pm - It sounds like something's going on at about 3750 or 60 W Diversey. Not sure what's happening.
10:57pm - It sounds like an RD number has been pulled from the 10:43pm job. It's HR214449 wih the event number of 19911.
11:13pm - Shots fired. Barry and Central Park. Anoymous caller reports 4 to 5 shots fired.
11:26pm - A slow down is given on the 11:13pm job.
11:42pm - One of the units had a stop somewhere on Pulaski. The event number is 21480.
11:43pm - Auto Theft in progress. Fullerton and Killbourn. A car that was found sounds like it's being stolen again.
11:44pm - Check the well being. 3924 W Fullerton. Something about nobody supposed to be at the health center and the caller sounds scared. Also, a slow down is given on the 11:43pm job.
11:45pm - 1) A unit asks for a call back on the 11:43pm job. 2) Shots fired. 2500 N Keeler. Five shots fired.
11:47pm - Person shot. 2434 N Lowell. Somebody has been shot in the head.
11:48pm - A male Hispanic teen is shot in the back at the 11:47pm job.
11:49pm - A second male Hispanic teen is shot in the back of the head by a Cobra gang member.
11:52pm - A male Hispainc teenager is dead from this shooting.
11:54pm - Police/dispatch chatter regarding the 11:47pm job.
11:55pm - 1) An RD number is pulled from the shooting. It's HR214562 with the event number of 21550. 2) Beat car 2510 asks a car to slide over to Altgeld and Keeler to look for a crime scene.
11:57pm - Beat 2513 is on the crime scene and a backlog has been put into 25.
11:58pm - Beat car 2590/99 is heading to the 11:47pm job.
