Good morning, everyone, it's 12am. It's a clear overnight with temps in the mid 60s, and today's supposed to get to around 90 with sunshine. Monitoring 25 today, again. This evening, I'll be heading to 25's National Night Out from 6pm to 8pm, but will have my microphone set up to record the calls while I'm gone. I'm excited to be starting my college classes in just about two weeks :). I'll be going on vacation from this blog in about a week to prepare myself. With that, here's crime for today.
12:17am - Beat car 2535Robert has a traffic stop at North and Avers. Running a name.
12:18am - I'm going to go for the night. I'll be back in the morning. Good night, everyone.
8:32am - I'm back. Good morning, everyone.
9:09am - Burglar alarm. 28XX N Hamlin.
11:20am - Parker. On 2524's Beat.
12:03pm - Assist the citizen. 44XX W Diversey. Caller needs help getting their iPhone back.
12:59pm - Disturbance. 24XX N Monticello. Problem with the neighbor.
1:35pm - Beat 2582 is doing foot patrol on Fullerton from Pulaski to Kilbourn. Event number is 08651.
2:35pm - 1) Parker. 4008 W Armitage. 2) Suspicious person. 3909 W Fullerton. Male lurking around the Youth Developmental Center.
3:28pm - Theft in progress. 1627 N Pulaski. Female inside the Walgreen's stealing.
3:29pm - They're calling again at the Walgreen's, saying there was a scuffle also.
4:25pm - EMS run. 30XX N Hamlin. Male down.
4:51pm - Burglar alarm. 2853 N Pulaski.
5:14pm - Beat car 2514 has a street stop at Central Park and Wolfram. Event number is 12787.
5:57pm - Traffic accident. Wrightwood and Pulaski. Four-month old baby is possibly injured.
6:15pm - Beat car 2523 needs a tow on the vehicle at the 5:57pm job. Car's blocking the intersection. Vehicle is heavily damaged in the front.
6:30pm - 2523 needs a tow on a second vehicle over there, and needs a I-Bond book.
7:33pm - Backlog in 25 at 19:38 hours.
7:39pm - 1) Narcotics. 31XX N Monticello. 2) Person w/ a knife. Kelvyn Park. Group of people fighting and a female White's got a knife. Few calls coming in on this.
7:40pm - 1) Assault in progress. Kostner and Wrightwood. 2) Battery in progress. Drummond and Kostner. 3) Gang disturbance. Kelvyn Park.
7:43pm - Assault in progress. 26XX N Kostner. Group of 15 girls with bats and sticks are trying to jump the caller.
7:45pm - A slow down is being given on all of the Kelyvn Park calls per Beat 6757Eddie. They're saying there's about 20 Cobras out there walking in different directions, and that the area is hopping tonight. But they don't know need any other units or anything over there, though.
7:49pm - 1) Parker. 44XX W Parker. 2) Parker. 25XX N Avers. Car in the handicap spot.
7:52pm - Person w/ a gun. Wrightwood and Kilbourn. Black truck was chasing a white Toyota on Wrightwood and the guy in the black truck was armed with a pistol.
7:53pm - 6757E doesn't see any cars like that yet over at the 7:52pm job.
7:54pm - Assault in progress. Kelvyn Park. 12 year old male Black with a white t-shirt and blue jeans is threatening another boy.
8:01pm - 6757E is reminding Dispatch to have units in 25 keep an eye out on Kelvyn Park due to the earlier incident. There's a lot of Cobras in the area still and something might really jump off at some point.
8:15 to 8:21pm - Several minutes of a non-stop open key. I think we're gonna end up switching to a Citywide soon if this doesn't stop. Officers can't talk and neither can the dispatchers.
8:22pm - Okay, we're switching over to Citywide 6 (460.250).
8:23pm to 8:53pm - I was still on my way home from National Night Out, so I didn't get these calls. I'm sorry, guys.
8:58pm - Battery in progress. 26XX N Kostner. Group of girls fighting.
9:16pm - Now we're going back to Zone 12 (460.425).
9:19pm - Battery report. 28XX N Avers.
10:05pm - I'm way too tired to stay up. I haven't had a nap today either. So I'm going to bed. Good night, everyone. I'll see you all in the morning.
