Drunk Man Passed Out In Alley On Hamlin

Good morning, everyone, it's 10:28am. It's a beautiful morning (sunshine), and it isn't too cold out. It feels pretty nice, actually. I was out a little bit ago to run an errand so that's how I know. LOL. Anyway, today, I'll be here until 3pm, then I will stop blogging for the day. I will return tomorrow. On Saturday, I'll be monitoring 17 for most of the day. Getting back to today's monitoring schedule, I have my reasons why I'm only monitoring until 3. One, I've got some other stuff I need to do, and two, I am attending a community meeting tonight at 6:30. It will be at St. Hyacinth's inside Resurrection Hall, and the topic is about the new school proposed to be built at Milwaukee and Central Park. With that, here's crime for this mid-morning and early afternoon.

11:43am - EMS run. 1929 N Hamlin. Drunk passed out in the alley.

11:49am - Beat 2550 is giving a code. The guy's just collecting cans out of the garbage.

11:54am - Disturbance w/ a mental. 3919 W Fullerton. At the Fullerton Hotel. There is a paranoid man, who is a high risk, that needs to be hospitalized. Caller asks that CPD does not use their sirens to come to this call.

12:49pm - Disturbance. 1627 N Pulaski. At Walgreens. Female panhandler in front harassing people.

2:36pm - The 12:49pm job was JUST dispatched. The call is an hour and 47 minutes old now.

2:54pm - Criminal damage. 1657 N Harding. Kids tagging a mail truck in front.

3:00pm - I'm gone for the day. See you all tomorrow. Have a good day, everyone.

I think the neighborhood needs to stop the selling of cold beer. It just seems too tempting for the gentlemen in the neighborhood. I believe they did this in a suburb to help stop DUI's & it worked. Warm beer can still be sold though.

Stop selling cold beer? How about making the whole area dry instead? Thus no beer or alcohol sales what so ever....
