Hello, I am a long time follower who is very interested in becoming a crime blotter. Currently I am a journalism student in the Bucktown/Wicker Park area who would like to highlight crimes going on in the 60622. I really enjoy your site and wish our neighborhood was covered as well. Is there a specific type of equipment I would need to get to follow the 1433 Beat?

Hello :-). I'm glad you're interested. As for covering Bucktown/Wicker Park, what are the boundries for the neighborhood (if you know)?

If you want to follow Beat 1433, you should buy a scanner and listen to the 14th district on frequency 460.225.

I cover 14 once or twice a month at most because I live in 25 (just a block and a half before you get into 14 though) and you know, I like mostly to listen to crimes on my side of the neighborhood.

If you'd like to cover 14 regulary for me, just let me know and I'll add you to my crime blogging team. You could also Bucktown/Wicker Park while you're covering the rest of 14 for me. That would relieve a load of pressure off of me because it's hard covering three districts (14, 17, 25) which that are all on different frequencies on the radio.

Once again, I'm glad you're interested. Thanks for taking the time out to look at my site and comment :-).
