St. Patrick's Day, 2013

Good morning, everyone, and Happy St. Pat's Day to everyone. It's 8:20am. It's a cloudy morning with temps in the 30s, and it'll remain that way today. I'm monitoring crime from now until about 10am, then again from 2pm to 3pm, and again after my dinner. This week, I really won't be able to monitor much, as this is the actual week of most of my mid-terms, even though I thought they were last week. But it's okay, because I go on Spring Break next week for the entire week. I can't wait to get a few days off from class and some rest, but I really can't wait for May to get here so I can be done with this semester. Lastly, later this week, I'll be implementing my new strategy/plan for monitoring. The official day of implementation will be on Thursday, and I'll try to talk about this before then. If anyone has any questions, comments or concerns about it, please don't hesitate to contact me via here, my email or the Facebook page. Here's crime for portions of today.

8:53am - Parker. On 2525's Beat.

10:04am
- I'm going to go until 2pm. I'll see you all then. Have a great morning, everyone!

1:58pm
- I'm back. Good afternoon, everyone.

1:59pm - Threatening suicide. 24XX N Tripp. Caller's friend is threatening to kill himself over Facebook.

3:40pm - Some call on the 2800 block of N Harding.

3:47pm - Gang disturbance. Deming and Kilbourn. Group on the corner.

4:20pm - I'm going to go until after my dinner. I'll see you all then. Have a great reminder of the afternoon, everyone!

7:46pm - I'm back. Good evening, everyone.

12:00am - I'm going to go for the night. I'll see you all tomorrow or sometime this week (preferably by Wednesday). Have a good night, everyone!

I got stopped by some cops after I left the 25th district station. While walking on Central near Fullerton these two officers got out of thsir car and took my ID for a name check? Then they drove off. Sounds kind of fishy..

I wonder if NYC and their "stop and frisk" policy have an effect here in Chicago?

I see they finally shut down the "Club Gibbons" on Oakdale. I got tired of being hassled by the drunks outside that building.

Why do the police think we should pay extra taxes toward their pension fund? If they couldn't manage their own money, too bad.
