Good morning, everyone, it's 8:04am. It's a cloudy morning with temps in the lower 30s, and it'll get into the upper 30s with clouds, I guess. I'm monitoring 25 from now until 9:58am, then I'm going to monitor 14 from then until 1:14pm. At 1:14, I will conclude my blogging for the day until 8:25, at which time I'll return with 25 until midnight. With that, here's crime for portions of today.
8:09am - Theft in progress. 37XX W Palmer. Male Hispanic neighbor with a white t-shirt and blue jeans is trying to break into the caller's car.
9:02am - I just want to make a public apology regarding yesterday's post. If you didn't read yesterday's post, I wrote down a "disturbance w/ a mental" call involving a teenager suffering from a bi-polar disorder and it happened to be the first call I heard, so I made the title "Bi-polar Teen At Group Home On Sawyer". I already apologized in the comments section in that post, but I want to also make one here. I am sorry if anyone was offended by the post and that will not happen again next time. I did not mean to bring any further stereotype to the bi-polar name.
9:08am - Traffic accident. 3943 W Diversey. Landlord was involved.
11:21am - I totally forgot to cover 14 until now, but here's coverage of 14 now, until 1:14. On Wednesday, I'll cover 14 from 9:58 to 11:21.
11:26am - Disturbance. 2468 W Armitage.
11:32am - Traffic accident. Milwaukee and Talman. Injures.
11:35am - Beat 1495 needs some traffic control over at Milwaukee/Talman. Beat car 1432 is heading over to assist.
11:40am - Beat 1406Boy is on a street stop at 2820 W Armitage. Event number is 05673.
12:19pm - Some call in the area.
12:42pm - Burglar alarm. 23XX W Oakdale.
1:14pm - I'm going to go until 8:25, at which time I'll return with 25. I hope all of you have a great start to your afternoon!
8:25pm - I'm back. Good evening, everyone.
9:35pm - A unit has a stop at Monticello and Fullerton.
10:20pm - Some call in the area, on the south end, on either 2525's or 2535's Beats.
12:00am - I'm going to go for the night. I'll be back with 17 in the morning. Have a good night, everyone!

I am a bit offended when you use the term "drunks". Alcoholism is a real medical illness & was recognized by the AMA as a disease in the late '50s. Maybe call the guys on Milwaukee Ave. some-
thing other than "drunks"?
How about 'losers'?
Heard the police call them "pissbums"
