Good morning, everyone, it's 2:53am. It's a rainy overnight with temps in the mid 30s, and temps will rise to near 50 today with clouds. I advise everyone who's headed out for this morning's rush to be careful, as it's quite icy out there following last night's ice storm. Thankfully, power didn't go out or anything around here. Anyway, I'm monitoring 25 from now until about 5:30 or so, then I'll come back around 8:30 and monitor until 1:08pm. After 1:08, I'm going to take a break until 3:42, then I plan on monitoring from 3:42 to 4:55. After 4:55, I don't intend on monitoring anymore today. Hopefully crime doesn't get crazy today with the warmer weather, but we'll definitely have to keep an eye on things, more or less tomorrow, however. Tomorrow's supposed to get into the mid 60s, which obviously is unseasonably warm here in the Chi. Well, here's crime for portions of today.
2:54am - Assault. Belden and Monticello. Two gangbangers running after the caller and threatening them.
2:57am - Assault. 3181 N Milwaukee Ave. At the Shell gas station.
5:01am - Suspicious person. 40XX W Palmer. Something about a person knocking on the door and a strong odor of gas, CFD is en route.

9:09am - Battery report. 2200 N Hamlin. At the Mozart school.
9:12am - Theft. 22XX N Karlov. Some things were stolen out of the caller's car.
10:46am - Traffic accident. Ridgeway and Fullerton.
11:25am - Panic alarm. 3632 W Fullerton.
11:58am - Vicious animal. 2600 block of N Lawndale. Aggressive dog running around the area.
12:08pm - Burglary report. 31XX N Central Park.
12:29pm - Beat 2578Sam is at ASPIRA High School, 3986 W Barry.
12:30pm - Beat car 2523, the assigned car to the 12:08pm call, has a bona fide burglary. Beat 2540 is notified.
12:36pm - 2578S is taking a female from the school into 25.

3:57pm - 1) Traffic accident. Diversey and Pulaski. Two cars, no injuries. 2) Disturbance. 3633 W Fullerton. Males loitering in front, drinking.
4:36pm - Criminal trespass. 20XX N Avers. Male went into the caller's house.
4:47pm - EMS is needed on the 4:36pm job. Homeless guy is injured, apparently.
4:53pm - Robbery. 3181 N Milwaukee Ave. At the Shell gas station. Male came into the gas station and said he was robbed.
4:56pm - A disregard is being given on the 4:53pm job. They have the caller and it appears that nothing's happened.
4:59pm - Disturbance. 29XX N Ridgeway. Seven homeless males loitering in front.
5:01pm - Beat 2573 has a handwaver at 36XX W Oakdale regarding homeless vagrants going into a vacant building on the block.
5:07pm - Beat 2505 is doing a park check at Kelvyn.
5:08pm - Person w/ a gun. Karlov and Dickens. Two male teenagers, one male Hispanic and one Black, wearing red/white/black have a gun in a sweater pocket.
5:09pm - Beat 2500, 25th District Commander, has a couple of males going down Karlov towards Armitage on the west side of the street. He sees a couple of more on the other side of the street, and he wants a unit to put a stop on them.
5:10pm - Beat 2562Adam is pulling up to Armitage and Karlov and sees those males 2500 was talking about, they're going to put a stop on them now.
5:11pm - A slow down is being given on the 5:08pm job.
5:24pm - Traffic accident. Diversey/Pulaski.
7:22pm - I have to go eat. I'll be back soon.
7:37pm - I'm back. Good evening, everyone.
7:38pm - Check the well being. Ridgeway and Milwaukee Ave. Caller's been drinking too much.
7:57pm - Disturbance. 29XX N Lawndale.
8:00pm - Just an FYI everyone, but there's been a shooting on 2522's Beat on the 2100 block of N Tripp. It happened an hour ago. But, the victim went to the gas station at Kostner and Fullerton. This shooting was a result of a home invasion.
8:35pm - Couple of a disturbances and a parker on 2523's Beat.
8:38pm - I'm going to go for the night. I plan on being back tomorrow. Have a good night, everyone, and stay safe!
