Good afternoon, everyone, it's 4pm. It's a sunny afternoon with temps in the upper 30s, and it's windy. This evening, temps will fall into the 20s with clear skies. I had stuff to do yesterday and this morning, which is why I haven't been here, but I'm back now. I'm monitoring 25 this afternoon into this evening, around midnight, and then I'm monitoring 14 tomorrow all day. We'll see how that goes. Here's crime for this afternoon and evening.
4:00pm - Battery in progress. 1920 N Hamlin. At the Ames Middle School. Gangbangers fighting on the railroad tracks behind the school.
4:04pm - A slow down is being given. No one's on scene.
4:39pm - 1) Assault in progress. Diversey and Pulaski. Group of males in a vehicle are chasing one man down Diversey. 2) Narcotics. 27XX N Kostner. Kids smoking weed in front.
6:24pm - Disturbance. 19XX N Monticello. Homeless males causing a ruckus in the alley with their shopping carts.
6:29pm - Gang disturbance. Harding and Diversey. Group on the corner throwing up signs and what not.
6:33pm - Gang disturbance. 3935 W Diversey. They're in front of the large Section 8 building.
6:38pm - Beat car 2523 and Beat 2563Eddie, the responding units to the gang disturbance on Diversey, are going into 25 with three.
7:03pm - Shots Fired. 16XX N Central Park. One shot was heard and a male was seen outside, holding a shotgun. He lives in the basement at this location.
7:08pm - Beat 2550 is giving a slow down on the 7:03pm job.No one's out there.
7:46pm - Theft. 3940 W Fullerton. At the CVS. Known shoplifter came in and stole some booze.
8:02pm - Traffic accident. Wabansia and Pulaski.
8:25pm - Apparently, the 7:46pm and 8:02pm jobs are related. Beat car 2523 is handling the theft portion of it and Beat 2593 is handling the accident.
8:46pm - 1) Suspicious person. 24XX N Tripp. Male Black with a hood over his head is sitting in a white Lincoln Navigator in front, the engine is turned off. Car's been in front for about an hour. 2) Disturbance. 36XX W Dickens. Male Hispanic with a brown jacket, orange cap and a bag in his hand is outside the laundry room in the building and he doesn't live there nor belong there.
9:10pm - Criminal trespass. 1937 N Lawndale. Two males walked into the vacant building with their shopping carts, and have cats and rats hanging around.
9:11pm to 9:20pm - I fell asleep. I'm sorry. I'll listen to the archives from this time period via RadioReference and have the calls up by Wednesday afternoon.
9:36pm - I have to go eat. I'll be back soon.

10:21pm - Loud music disturbance. 25XX N Hamlin.
10:40pm - Information for the CPD. palmer keystone. Four males, one with a yellow and black sweater, stole the battery out of a car.
10:48pm - Check the well being. 31XX N Monticello.
10:49pm - Just an FYI to all residents on 2523's Beat: for tonight, we will NOT have a Beat car. We will still get response from CPD, but it probably will take longer, as these other cars will be coming from other Beats and areas. Just thought you all should know that.
10:53pm - Disturbance. 3641 W Fullerton. Male sleeping in front of the building.
11:24pm - Beat car 2521Robert is on a traffic stop at fullerton avers.
11:47pm - Beat car 2522R needs a car with a working PDT at their traffic stop at wrightwood kostner. Beat 2520R is coming over.
