Guy With Boxes Runs On Drummond, Auto Theft Offender On Hamlin

Good morning, everyone, it's 8:24am. It's a mostly sunny morning with temps around 80. Today will get cloudy and it'll storm, though, with temps getting into the mid 90s. I'm monitoring 25 today, and actually, will be monitoring 25 until Thursday. The only thing I'm really doing this week, other than being here, is attending my CAPS Beat meeting on Wednesday evening. This is Beat 2523's meeting, which is being held at Copernicus, I believe. The Beat Facilitator was telling me last week that we're not able to meet there anymore, but I haven't heard anything else, so I assume we're still meeting there on Wednesday. Meeting starts at 6:30pm, promptly. Those of you who live on the 2900 block of Ridgeway or 3600 Oakdale, you need to be there. With that said, here's crime for today.

10:51am - Suspicious person. 43XX W Drummond. Male jumped in a sliver-colored car, running away. He's carrying boxes. What?

3:45pm - Beat car 2533 is on-viewing the Pulaski fight. They're saying they're ok, but they need a Spanish speaker. Beat 2573, who was originally assigned the call, is given a disregard. Beat car 2513, who has a Spanish speaker on it, is heading over, but they're coming from the west end.

4:04pm - 2533 is coding out the Pulaski fight as a 19P.

4:08pm - Parker. 3824 W North Ave.

6:41pm - 2540 needs 2521 and 2524, the units assigned to the original call, to come over to Wrightwood and Kostner. There's a bunch of them over there.

6:42pm - 2540 needs an ambulance at 26XX N Kostner. Guy got busted in the mouth. Also, his group moved up to Drummond.

7:03pm - Loud music, parker and a disturbance on 2524's Beat after their lunch.

7:11pm - Gang disturbance. 4300 block of W Drummond. Rival gang just showed up on the block.

8:13pm - Loud music disturbance. 27XX N Monticello.

8:20pm - Wanted from the Armitage incident is a male White named Jason in his mid 30s, tall and stocky, with a long and wide nose, and white t-shirts and blue jeans. His nickname's "White boy". He had a female with him.

8:23pm - A blue Mobile cell phone was taken from the robbery/battery, as well as a wallet.

8:27pm - A unit possibly has Jason at Armitage and Pulaski. They need the victim to come I.D. him, but that won't be happening. Victim's on oxygen. So a witness will need to go over.

8:40pm - They got Jason's female. She had the victim's wallet.

8:42pm - Battery report. OLR Hospital. From the earlier Kelvyn Park gang fight, a 25 year old male is in the ER.

Just because it's a pitbull, doesn't make he or she vicious...now if the call was more like "vicious animal, pitbull biting, barking, and chasing everyone in sight", then yea.

I just write what I hear. That's the way the call came out.
