Traffic Stop In Marathon Gas Station Lot

Good evening, everyone, it's 6:08pm. TGIF is all I can say. This has been a pretty stressful week, especially when dealing with the community. Hopefully this weekend will be good. Anyway, I'm monitoring 25 until midnight, then I have to go to bed so I can be up at 7:30am, because I have to go to a meeting at the 25th District from 10am-noon. My monitoring time tomorrow will be from 1pm-midnight. On Sunday, I'm monitoring 14. Then, finally, on Monday (a day off for me because it's MLK day), I'll monitor 25 from whatever time I leave here tomorrow morning until 1pm, then I'll be getting ready for the Avondale Neighborhood Association meeting at 7pm (at St. Hyacinth's in Resurrection Hall). So, here's crime for tonight.

10:50pm - Beat car 2523Robert doesn't see anything at the 10:49pm job. They're asking for a call back.

10:51pm - No answer on the 10:49pm call-back. It'll be coded a 19Boy.

10:53pm - Suspicious vehicle. 2530 N Lawndale. Some black car in front that the caller has never seen before.

You sure go to a lot of community meetings. Keep up the good work. There seems to be another americanlt that is posting but it's not me.

All of these meetings I go to are a part to help improve my community. I hate the way it is right now, and I want to bring it to a safer state. And, I was thinking that it wasn't you, because of the comment differences,

Ha ! I had a feeling someone was trying to impersonate the "real" americanlt. Thanks for clearing that up for the rest of us.

Is there a way to see how many of the calls for police service are just bogus cellphone calls? Why can't they just screen out these calls or perhaps cancel that phones 911 service?

Luke, to answer your first question, I'm not aware of any way to do that. Secondly, the call-takers have to take EVERY call, and I mean every single call. And, if someone calls anonymously, the dispatchers can't see the number that the caller called from.
