Good morning, everyone, it's 11:47am. I'm currently at school, but on my lunch break, and my class is on a trip, so I'm in our room using a computer (I have permission, not to worry). I'll be here until 12:10pm, then I have to go to the rest of my classes. After that, I'll be coming home and I'll start blogging again at 4. Anyway, it was really slippery out there this morning! I must've slipped twice today. Hopefully, it's not slippery anymore when I get out of school. So, on that note, here's crime until 12:10 and for this late afternoon/early evening.
11:58am - Gang disturbance. 37X8 W North Ave. Four of them on the corner, flashing gang signs.

12:07pm - Disturbance. 3701 W Diversey. Someone's waiting for CPD regarding something ... maybe the daily drug deals going on in there? That's what I'm thinking.
12:10pm - I have to go. I'll be back at 4. See you all then.
4:00pm - I'm back.
4:51pm - Shots Fired. Palmer and Keystone. Five gunshots fired by a male on the corner.
4:54pm - A slow down has been given on the "Shots Fired".
5:49 to 6:49pm - I fell asleep. I'm sorry. I'll cover this time period tomorrow.
6:54pm - I have to go eat. I'll be back soon.
7:05pm - I'm back.

Gang trouble? It's the residents fault. Who are the gangbangers? Why the kids that live there. They are just protecting the hood.

Protecting the "hood" from what? Another 14 year old high school drop out walking on a sidewalk? Get their asses in school or try and find work. Gang members are the laziest life form on the planet. Hanging out on a sidewalk all day. go and join the military so you can get benefits for school later in life or work. Laziness and a mental lack of skills is a disease that will kick your ass when you are 40 and broke because you chose to hang out on a sidewalk from age 14 to 30. What a joke.
Amen, Lou. I couldn't agree with your comment more. There aren't protecting anyone's hood, and it's stupid that they think they are. Protecting of "hoods" only comes from one type of people, and that is, and always should be, the Chicago Police. I agree that these gangbangers are the laziest people form of life on the planet, and that they need to actually do something with their life. Go to school, and get a job. I don't think there's anything more simpler than that.
