Latest Shooting Scene Draws Up Gangbangers

Good afternoon, everyone, it's 4:46pm. Today has been a real long day. I had to interview (as part of the school newspaper) and escort a man participating in "Principal For A Day" at school.

4:47pm - Oh bother. They're at it. Who are they? Gangbangers. The narrative of this call wasn't read out over the air since Dispatch was just going through pending jobs on the board. Can you guess where this is happening at? Hint: It's where I reported the latest shooting at.

4:50pm - Narcotics. 2750 N Lawndale. Three male Hispanics wearing hoodies are selling drugs.
5:40pm - Assist the citizen. Wrightwood and Harding.

5:49pm - Battery in progress. 1953 N Pulaski. Males fighting. Orginally came in as a gang disturbance.

5:53pm - Domestic disturbance. 2930 N Konster. Son and daughter fighting.

5:54pm - The 5:49pm job is 19P.

6:11pm - Traffic accident. 3837 W George. Car with plates of G862842 crashed into the complaint's car then took off north on Avers.

6:17pm - Violation order of protection. 3611 W Wolfram. A 42 yr old male with a black hoodie (I got his first name, but this job is domestic in nature so I'm not going to share it) is at the front door now, threatening to kill the complainant and the wife.

6:23pm - Domestic disturbance. 2614 N Harding.

6:45pm - I have to go eat. I'll be back soon.

7:30pm - I'm back from eating.

7:37pm - Wanted for Robbery at 2833 N Avers is 10 to 12 male Hispanics in dark clothing. They took a guy's I-Pod.

7:51pm - Gang disturbance. Belmont and Monticello. They're throwing bricks at passing cars.

7:59pm - Beat 6750 is excuting a search warrant at 2018 N Karlov. A weapon was discharged and there are K9 dogs on scene.

8:00pm - 6750's thing is coming into 911 as "Shots Fired". 5 heard.

Just discovered your blog. It's great, you do a great job. Keep up the good work!

PS: Did you ever think about interviewing some of the police officers for your blog?

Thank you. Anyway, I have thought of doing that but I'm hesitant to because I don't know they'd approve and they seem to be too busy.

Hey Timmy--

I don't blame you either-- I wouldn't want to be the one to try to talk Logan Sq cops into getting chatty with you.

Thanks for all your great work!
