Drunk Driver on Hamlin

Good afternoon, everybody, it's 3:44pm. Today's been a good day for me. Anyway, it's been rainy as usual. The sun is supposedly finally to come out tomorrow (on Halloween, go figure). Yep, tomorrow is Halloween. It'll be wild I know, so I'm staying in tomorrow. I'm starting cover at 2:00pm. So, here is crime for this afternoon and evening.

4:08pm - DUI driver. 3042 N Hamlin. Male White (Polish), 50s, got into a vehicle and went towards Diversey. He's drunk.

4:09pm - 1) Battery. 1834 N Lawndale. At the YMCA. 15 yr old jumped on by three guys. 2) Disturbance. 1627 N Pulaski. At Walgreens. Male peddling.

4:14pm - A 4500 unit is executing a search warrant at 3741 W Shakespeare. Event number is 11426.

4:30pm - I'm going to take a little nap. Will be back soon.

5:24pm - Extremely loud screaming on the air wakes me up. A huge brawl is in progress at 1239 N Monticello. Officers are screaming for more units.

5:25pm - They're still calling for more units. Loud screaming can be heard in the background.

5:26pm - Officers are acquiring if the situation is a 10-1. Dispatch says it may as well be.

5:27pm - Officers on scene are reporting an officer is injured. EMS requested.

5:28pm - Multiple slow downs are being given. The offender ran to Potomac and Central Park.

5:29pm - All involved parties are now at Potomac and Central Park, including the injured officer. Squad cars are being asked to move for EMS to come in. An OC discharge also occurred. Again, more slow downs are given.

5:30pm - A complete disregard is given at 1239 N Monticello. One officer says there is too much manpower on scene.

5:40pm - Suspicious person. Belmont and Pulaski. Two male Hispanic teens in black clothing are walking around, looking into cars.

5:41pm - Beat car 2522 is assigned to a municipal ordinance violation job on Lawndale.

5:42pm - Two RDs are pulled from 3741 W Shakespeare. The first one is HR617065 with the original event number. The second one is HR617076 with the event number of 13069. Time when this was called out was at 16:14 (4:14pm) hours.

5:47pm - Backlog in 25 at 17:47 hours.

5:55pm - Traffic accident. Belmont and Lawndale.

5:58pm - Criminal trespass in progress. 3642 W Shakespeare. Bunch of people went into the vacant building.

6:12pm - A job is given at 2018 N Karlov regarding dead animals.

7:00pm - Missing/Burglary report. 2305 N Avers. 15 yr old on probation for Robbery and Arson took a registered gun (that's what I think I heard) and some cash. This call is an hour old.

7:10pm - I have to go eat. I'll be back soon.

7:40pm - I'm back.

8:59pm - Parker. 4008 W Armitage.

9:20pm - Gang disturbance. 23XX N Springfield. 8 of them, not from the 'hood.

10:08pm - Domestic disturbance. 3641 W Dickens. Problem with the husband.

10:16pm - Beat car 2521 is asking for a call back on the 10:08pm job.

10:17pm - Beat 4519Edward found the 10:08pm complainant.

10:19pm - Battery in progress. 1618 N Harding. Two guys fighting.

10:27pm - Beat 4518Charlie is assisting a citizen at Central Park and Wabansia.

10:42pm - Beat 4518C has a traffic stop at Pulaski and Altgeld.

11:16pm - A female unit has a traffic stop at Fullerton and Avers.
