People In Back Door Of Vacant Property On Ridgeway, Accident @ Armitage/Harding

Good afternoon, everyone. It's 12:47pm. I apologize for being late, but I had some things to do this morning. Today, I will be finally covering 25 for the first time in about a week or so, and I will be covering Zones K and R tomorrow. These two Zones are in 25, and actually, cover more than half of my coverage area in the District. Truth be told, I'm happy to be monitoring my home District today. With all my monitoring of 14 lately, though, I'm really starting to get a good idea of what the exact problems and issues are within 14, and I've been getting a good sense of where the problems are. Tonight, I have the Avondale Neighborhood Association meeting over at Carl Linne school at 3221 N. Sacramento, which starts at 7. During that time, I will have my microphone equipment record the radio. Lastly, I want to quickly give a thought on the input I've been getting from my coverage of the Puerto Rican Fest. I appreciate the input, and with that said, for next year, I will be going back to only monitoring it for only one day and I will also try my best to make it down there for a day. I want to see for myself how it is, since quite a few people are saying it's not as bad as it sounds. But I digress. Here's crime for today.

2:12pm - Criminal trespass in progress. 2535 N Ridgeway. Five males and a female are in the back door of the vacant property.

2:18pm - Traffic accident. Armitage and Harding.

2:38pm - Suspicious vehicle. 26XX N Monticello. Brown van honking at the Monroe kids. Headed north on Monticello towards Diversey.

2:44pm - Beat 2544 is on Ridgeway and the back basement door is open. He'll wait for back-up to walk through. Beat 2546 is coming over.

2:57pm - Beat 2582 is asking for an event number for foot patrol along Fullerton this afternoon. It's 10993.

2:58pm - Ridgeway is a 19P per 2544, but he's letting Dispatch know that people might go back in there so she might need to dispatch someone again later.

3:22pm - Beat 2505 is doing a park check at Kelvyn.

3:47pm - Beat car 2523 is pulling an RD number from 31XX N Ridgeway for a bona fide garage burglary. It's HW322934 with the event number of 10047. I never heard this call dispatched, though.

4:15pm - Parker. 2200 N Pulaski.

4:16pm - 1) Disturbance. 43XX W George. Drinkers. 2) Assault. Monticello and Milwaukee Ave. Male Hispanic with a blue shirt, black pants, brown boots who's bald and has a dark complexion threatened to stab the caller.

4:26pm - Person down. George and Central Park. Two people down, unresponsive.

4:30pm - Support unit request. 29XX N Lawndale. The family of a 64 year old needs to know that their family member is in grave health. Aww :(.

5:09pm - Battery in progress. Harding and North Ave. Group fighting.

5:23pm - Disturbance. On 2523's Beat.

5:47pm - Beat car 2525 has an open hydrant at Dickens and Lawndale.

5:48pm to 8:28pm - I am working on getting these calls up here. I have them recorded. They should be up here by early tomorrow morning. (Writing as of 6/18/13).
