The 25th district is in total chaos. Their beat cops will be busy watching a hockey game instead of patrolling our neighborhood. My cousin says, Cook County Sheriffs (not jail guards) can do a much better job in 25.

FYI, there could be trouble in the city tonight if the Blackhawks win the Cup. I know CPD has ordered extra riot gear & are prepared for the unruly celebrations.

tamika, the last Blackhawks celebration was tame. The first few years the Bulls won in the '90s there were near riots. Parts of the West side are still burned down. Of course, that's a different demographic.

Congrats to the 2013 Stanly Cup Champions!!! Blackhawks!!!
It's time to get down and p-a-r-t-y.

Hockey? Who cares about hockey. Its some foreign sport from Canada that most kids in the U.S. could never play.

they weren't 'near riots', they were full blown, batshit crazy riots.

as for the west side areas of desolation, that dates back to the MLK assassination riots.

those were the 'end of the world' type riots, akin to the LA rodney king insanity.
