Ten People Fighting On Dickens

Good morning, everyone, it's 3:49am. It's a pretty cold late night out there. It's in the 30s, and it's cloudy. It's supposed to remain cloudy today. Anyway, I'm monitoring 25 now until 5am, then I have to go to an appointment, then school. I'm not sure if I'll be back later. So yeah, I'm only up at this hour on a weekday because I'm getting ready for an early morning appointment which I can't miss. With that, here's crime for this portion of this early morning.

3:52am - Battery in progress. 37XX W Dickens. 10 people fighting.

3:54am - A disregard is being given. No fight's going on right now.

4:40am - Suspicious person. Belmont and Lawndale. Two males lurking around in the area.

5:00am - I have to go. I may or may not be back later. If not, see you all tomorrow. Have a good day, everyone.

How many times are these people fighting on the street bogus? Please stop wasting the cops time on nonsense calls.

Fighting needs to stop. America must become a better place. We must all embrace our love for each other and smile as the sun lights our way.

Good job monitoring the scanner in the early morning hours. Maybe set your alarm to 3AM more often so readers can see the early morning crime in the hood?

Not all of those calls are bogus, Chaz.

Mujahee, I fully agree with you.

Anonymous, this was sort of a rare occassion. I usually get up at 5am but had to be up at this time on this day for an early morning appointment I couldn't miss. 3AM is too early for me to be getting up, especially on a school day and the time I go to bed at. If I did get up at 3AM regularly, I wouldn't be getting much sleep at all. So that's a rare, once-in-a-while sort of thing.
