Calls From 14 and 25, 12-10-11

Good morning, everyone, it's 12:10am. It's a real cold, but clear, night out there. It's only around 20 degrees. It's going to get around 15, too, and warm up in the day into the upper 20s. So yeah, it's cold. Anyway, yep, I'm monitoring 14 today. I should be able to be here for most of the day for it, too. Though I do need to go somewhere in the morning for about two and a half hours, and possibly in the afternoon for about an hour. I'll be able to either record the afternoon time period or get an archive of it. I'll finish off the morning portion of 14 a day or two after Christmas. I'm also going to monitor a little of 25 tomorrow too. Should be an interesting day. Here's crime for today.

12:13am - Shots Fired. 41XX W Fletcher. Couple of gunshots heard succeeding a car speeding off.

12:16am - A slow down is being given on Fletcher. While a car did speed off, no shots were heard.

12:39am - Some call in the area.

8:07am - Burglar alarm. 1664 N Ada.

8:21am - Residential alarm. 18XX N Kedzie.

8:32am - Commercial alarm. 2953 W Belmont.

8:54am - Traffic accident. Western/Elston/Diversey. Semi and a car involved.

1:21pm - Residentai alarm. 21XX N Western.

1:27pm - Parker. 2539 N California.

1:36 to 1:44pm - There were probably two or three calls in the area, and if there were, I missed them. I'm sorry.

2:06 to 3:18pm - I had to go out. I'll monitor this time period of 14 next weekend.

4:06pm - Landlord/tenant dispute. 31XX N Kedzie.

4:43pm - Some call in the area.

4:50pm - Disturbance. 2707 N Milwaukee. At the McDonalds. Someone's causing problems.

4:57pm - Parker. 30XX N Troy.

5:28pm - Suspicious person. Fullerton and Franscisco. Two male Blacks lurking around near the alley.

6:07pm - Burglar report. 30XX N Elbridge.

6:21pm - Loud music disturbance. 16XX N Richmond.

6:41pm - Fire. 23XX W Wabansia. Roof.

7:45pm - Suspicious person. 18XX W Cortland.

8:20 to 9:00pm - I didn't really pay attention. I'm sorry. I'll get this time period when I monitor 14 again.

9:16pm - Criminal trespass in progress. Simons Park. Group of kids breaking into the park's fieldhouse. They're males and mostly have on black.

9:18pm - An officer says those kids are running towards North Ave. in the west alley of Drake.

9:19 through 9:24pm - Police/Dispatch chatter about the Simons Park incident.

9:37pm - Parker. 27XX W Fletcher.

9:46pm - Shots Fired. Whipple and Bloomingdale. Four gunshots.

9:49pm - A slow down is being given on the 9:46pm job.

10:06pm - Beat car 1411 needs two things. One, an event number for Skate Park is needed and then two, an event number for a gang suppression mission on the 2800 block of N Albany is needed. Skate is 17107 and Albany is 17110.

10:07pm - Officers in 14 are currently working on a bona fide fire from 2114 N Humboldt. It involves an apartment building and there's been injures. Ambulance 44 is taking at least one injured person to Norweigan Hospital. I believe a couple of families have been displaced too.

10:15pm - Disturbance. Homer and Leavitt.

10:54pm - 1) Some call on 1412's Beat. 2) Parker. 29XX N Dawson.

11:07pm - Parker. 2600 block of N Sawyer. Permits.

11:13pm - Disturbance. 24XX N Rockwell.

11:47pm - Beat car 1422Robert is doing a theft from auto mission on their Beat.

11:51pm - Traffic accident. 2406 W Diversey. In front of the Golden Nugget.

11:52pm - Information for the CPD. Bernard and Altgeld. Two males robbed the caller in the area 45 minutes ago, caller doesn't want to speak to CPD though.

11:53pm - CFD run. 35XX W Palmer.

11:56pm - Parker. On 1411's Beat.
