EMS Run On Wrightwood, Two Men Fighting On Wabansia

Good morning, everyone, it's 8:34am. I'm still home. I'm not really sick at this point, but I want to go back to school almost 100%, if not at that level. Also, I didn't get a lot of sleep at all last night, so I didn't want to go to school and end up falling asleep in class. So I'm just taking another day off. I'm going back tomorrow for sure though. Anyway, it's a sunny and cold morning outside. It's in the lower 30s. It's about to get colder as the end of the week approaches, too. I'm sure a lot of you don't like hearing that. I know I didn't. But yeah, here's crime for portions of today.

8:53am - EMS run. 44XX W Wrightwood.

9:22am - Battery in progress. 38XX W Wabansia. Two males fighting.

9:34am - Parker. 37XX W Wrightwood. Neighbor's saving parking spots. But it hasn't even snowed yet...

9:53am - Some call at the Ames Middle School, 1920 N Hamlin.

10:22am - Animal abuse. 30XX N Hamlin. Dog tied up to a gate without any food or water.

10:33am - Robbery. 40XX W Armitage. Male Hispanic with a green hoodie on a bike just robbed the caller.

10:46am - The 10:33am offender went north on Karlov towards Dickens from 4042 on Armitage.

10:48am - An RD number is being pulled from the 10:33am job. It's HT621549 with the event number of 04944.

11:11am - Check the well being. 30XX N Avers. Woman crying near a car. Not sure what's wrong.

11:18am - The 11:11am job is a vicious animal call. The woman was attacked by a dog.

12:39pm - I'm going to go. I'll be back either later or tomorrow. See you all later.

3:45pm - I'm back. Good afternoon, everyone. I'm sure you all are happy to hear about Blago being sentenced to 14 years in prison.

4:18pm - Disturbance. 1627 N Pulaski. At the Walgreens. Teenage panhandlers begging in front.

4:20pm - Suspicious vehicle. Central Park and Wrightwood. Black 4-door Acura has no plates on it.

5:00pm - I'm going to go for the night. I'll be back tomorrow. Good night, everyone.

Ever notice that lots of these calls could be handled by the caller. Also many aren't even real police matters. Stop wasting the cop's time on nonsense. You don't like the kids walking down your block, too bad. Neighbor saving parking spots? If its not in front of your house, who cares. Besides the street belongs to the city, not you.

Barking dogs? People drinking in their yards? Teens being noisy in the park? These are all nonsense calls. Besides, what is lurking? Heard calls about men lurking about. Lurking sounds like something monsters do in horror flicks.
