Good evening, everyone, it's 8:39pm. First, I'd like to apologize for no post yesterday and most of today. I had a lot of other things to do yesterday that needed to be taken care of, and I was seeing a friend of mine off to her high school prom this evening. So yeah, I've been busy. And actually, I'll continue to be busy. I received a lot of homework this weekend due to finals coming up this upcoming week, so I need to do that. I just can't wait until school is over. Anyway, tomorrow, I'm monitoring 14 for all of you good residents east of Central Park. I wonder what a hot spring day will bring us in 14. Probably a lot of calls. So on that note, here's crime for this evening.
8:58pm - Person shot. Fullerton and Pulaski. Caller's friend was shot.
8:59pm - Beat car 2524 is on scene. No one is shot so far.
9:04pm - CPD can't find anyone shot at this time. It'll be coded for now.
9:19pm - Shots Fired. 40XX W Dickens.
9:20pm - Gang disturbance. Dickens and Kedvale.
9:48pm - 1) Shots Fired. Avers and George. Three heard to the west. 2) Fireworks. 39XX W Wellington. 3) Fireworks. 29XX N Avers.
9:49pm - Beat 1481Boy is giving a disregard at George and Avers. It's fireworks.
10:00pm - 1) Shots Fired. 39XX W Wellington. Five heard and several males are standing near a nearby gate, drinking. 2) Shots Fired. 2900 block of N Harding.
10:09pm - Suspicious person. 3000 block of N Central Park.
10:12pm - Loud music disturbance. 3714 W Wabansia.
10:31pm - A unit had an OC discharge at 3633 W Wolfram. They're ok.
10:43pm - Information for the police. 36XX W Diversey. Caller has information on a burglary.
10:46pm - I can't stay up any longer. Good night to everyone and I'll be back in the morning.

They should ban fireworks too. Never made any sense to celebrate a holiday or anything else by blowing off explosive devices.
bobbo, fireworks are illegal in Chicago but it's impossible to enforce! I hate the smoke and the noise for 2 weeks prior and 2 weeks after as well but there's really no way to stop it except that the economy is so bad and they have become so expensive that maybe people will think twice before spending their money on lights and things that go boom!

Hey "skrewtim", how ya been? Glad to hear from you. Anyway, I'm glad you hate this blog. But I do have a correction for you. I have never gotten my ass whooped in school, and actually, I'd like to see someone try to.
bobbo, I agree, but I agree with anonymous that it's impossible to enforce.
Have a national ban on fireworks. Stop the importation from China.
Bobbo's solution to everything is a ban...LOL.
Bobbo says, if you can't behave properly with guns, fireworks, drugs or even drinking then they should be taken away. Just grown up versions of toys....
