Anyway, I have no community meetings this upcoming week, but I do have two school-related events to attend. On Wednesday, I'll be going to an open forum with the Local School Council to hear plans from six finalists who are applying for being the principal of our school. The principal we have now is retiring. Then on Friday, I'll be attending the school's graduation. The open forum is in the evening. But the good thing about that is that it's one of three final days, which means I get out early from school. So that's good. Anyway, here's crime for today.
8:13am - Beat car 1411 reports that there is a group of peaceful protesters in front of the abortion center at Diversey/Western/Elston.
8:17am - Shots Fired. George and Albany. Several gunshots heard.
8:24am - Traffic accident. 3036 W North Ave.
8:28am - EMS is needed on the North Avenue accident.
8:29am - Disturbance. Damen and Webster. Man blocking up traffic.
8:33am - The "Shots Fired" call is coded 19P.
9:04am - Barking dog. 1642 W North Ave. Caller wants them cited.
9:05am - Missing person report. 1712 N Mozart. Caller's 15 yr old daughter named Katrina is missing.
9:11am - Beat 1489 is doing foot patrol on Armitage from Western to Central Park. Event number is 07414.
9:19am - Burglar alarm. 1706 N Rockwell.
9:30am - EMS run. Armitage and Humboldt. Unconscious man.
9:33am - An RD number has been pulled from the 9:05am job. It's HT330035 with the event number of 07240.
9:35am - Traffic accident. 1851 N Milwaukee.
9:39am - Disturbance. 2001 N Oakley. Neighbor dispute over knocking on the door.

9:47am - CFD run. 3028 W Belden. Two year old locked mom out.

9:57am - Disturbance w/ a mental. Milwaukee and Kedzie. Girlfriend's been drinking, was just recently released from the hospital. She's suicidal because she stepped in front of a CTA bus. She's wearing a white blouse and black pants with a dragon on it.
9:59am - Burglar alarm. 2047 N Mozart.
10:00am - The 9:57am caller just flagged down Beat car 1414, who's responding to the 9:59am call, and says that the girlfriend is now running down the street.
10:01am - The 9:57 girl is now on the ground in front 0f 3047 on Logan Boulevard. EMS may be needed. Also, Beat car 1431 is doing special attention at California and Logan. Event number is 08189.
10:02am - Beat car 1411 is with 1414 on Logan.
10:03am - Beat 1452 has a traffic stop at Armitage and Leavitt.
10:04am - Burglar alarm. 1653 N Damen.
10:09am - Beat car 1423 is running a plate on an unoccupied car at 1759 N Humboldt.
10:18am - 1) Vicious animal. 1740 N Troy. Two big brown dogs are loose and are chasing kids. 2) Parker. 1700 N Rockwell. Huge gray Escalade is parked on the sidewalk.

10:38am - A slow down is being given on the 10:37am job. It's just a little family argument.

10:42am - Disturbance. 1809 N Kimball. The store is selling loose cigarettes.
10:43am - 1) Beat 6559 wants an event number for a follow-up investigation on the 2900 block of N Milwaukee. Event number is 08821. 2) Disturbance. 3136 N Spaulding. Rooster in the backyard.
10:45am - Beat 1499 wants to be held down at the Logan Square Monument. There will be a walk for peace starting there shortly.
11:05am - Information for the CPD. 3400 W Diversey. Bricks and other debris falling from the construction site. It could hit a pedestrian.
11:12am - 1) Theft. 2023 N California. Male walked out of the store without paying for his items. 2) Burglar alarm. 23X0 N Kedzie.
11:13am - Burglar alarm. 35X2 W Wabansia.
11:14am - Person wanted. Armitage and California. Caller sees the person who stole their things.
11:18am - The units at the monument will be detailed there for a peace walk.
11:19am - Beat 1420 is at North and Sacramento. He's with a CTA driver who has a disturbance on their bus.
11:22am - The peace walk is now heading south on Kedzie from the monument.
11:28am - 1) 1446 needs a Spanish speaker at the 11:14am job. Dispatch assigns 1471 to help. 2) Parker. 2639 N Kedzie. At Logan Square Liquors. There's a dark orange Honda with a plate of H471425 parked in the loading zone.
11:30am - Regarding the 11:05am job, Beat 1441 says that there are no construction workers on scene, and that he thinks people may have been throwing the bricks.
11:32am - Commercial alarm. 2220 W North. General motion at the law office.
11:45am - Battery. 3000 N Spaulding. Caller got into a fight.
11:46am - An RD number is being pulled for a handwaver 1446 had on the 11:14am job. It's HT330206 with the event number of 10009.
11:48am - Beat car 1422 needs an RD number for a battery that happened at 2402 N Monticello from his job at St. Mary's. It's HT330209 with the event number of 09938.
11:47am - 1412 asks for a call back on the 11:43am job.
11:50am - Dispatch does the call back for 1412 and the caller says he doesn't want the police.

12:10pm - Disturbance. 2457 N Milwaukee. At the law office. A lawyer is trying to do business with a client and another person is disrupting them.
12:13pm - Disturbance. 3142 W North. At the car wash. A male is bothering customers and wants to drive their cars.
12:19pm - Loud music disturbance. 2932 N Whipple.
12:24pm - Holding the offender. 2656 N Elston. At Target. Shoplifter.
12:35 to 1:05pm - There were a few calls in the area.
1:10 to 2:45pm - Fell asleep. I'm sorry. I'll monitor this time period tomorrow.

3:23pm - Person w/ a knife. North and Kedzie. Woman stabbed the caller with a sharp spatula and is yelling at their daughter.

4:41pm - Assault in progress. Milwaukee/North/Damen. On CTA bus #2002, there is a disruptive man who is very rude, and he is smoking marijuana aboard the bus. The bus is standing west on North.
4:58pm - Traffic accident. 2829 N California. Two cars. One is damaged.
5:12pm - Alarm. 3350 W Diversey. At the bank.
5:30pm - Traffic accident. 1825 N Wilmot.
5:48pm - Burglar alarm. 2200 W Lyndale.
5:54pm - There's a power outage in the area of Western and Lyndale. It extends a couple of blocks both west and east.
6:02pm - Person down. Washtenaw and Wabansia. Drunk man on a bike just fell off.

11:53pm - 1) Loud music disturbance. 2100 block of W Homer. 2) Disturbance. 1800 N Milwaukee. By the Bloomingdale Trail on Milwaukee, there are two male Whites yelling at people and doing drugs.

Perhaps those who protest abortions should pay to fund the upbringing of the unwanted children born to these women?
Good job Timmy. I've noticed the increase in your reporting crime. I plan on bringing up the vagrancy laws at my next CAPS meeting. They are conducting a jaywalking sting on Broadway & Argle today so it looks like they are starting to follow the "broken windows" model of crime fighting. Vagrancy is the key to stopping violent crime.
