Good morning, everyone, it's 10am. It's kind of cloudy out, but the sun's out too. It's in the 60s and it will warm up into the mid 70s today. Anyway, yep, I'm off from school. Today was a staff day only. Tomorrow, I go back to school, but for only one hour. I'll probably head out somewhere after school, though, so I may not be back until later in the afternoon. We'll see. So, with that, here's crime for today.
11:19am - Assist the citizen. 3160 N Milwaukee. At the Copernicus Center. An employee at the center needs help unlocking their car. Guess they lost their keys.
11:32am - Person calling for help. 44XX W Altgeld. A tow truck driver is being threatened by someone.
12:50pm - Suspicious person. 25XX N Monticello. Male Black, blue shirt and pants, is on a bike heading up the alley, looking into the yards.
1:09pm - Person wanted. 3915 W Fullerton. Female White, braids, with a cart, sitting at the bus stop. Not sure what she's wanted for, though.
1:10pm - A unit is on a stop at 2956 N Pulaski.
1:41pm - Burglary. 2139 N Springfield. A known offender broke in the caller's house and took off.
2:02pm - Wanted from the 1:41pm job is a male White named Pierre Toney, 5 feet tall, 120-130 lbs, short fade hairdo, green shirt with lettering on it, black jeans and black winter gloves. He fled towards Dickens on Springfield.
2:04pm - Beat 2548 is looking around for the 1:41pm offender. He's driving around the Mozart Park area.
2:10pm - Pierre Toney has a known address of 2425 N Avers.
2:37pm - Open door. 22XX N Monticello. Front door is open to the caller's home. Possible burglary.
2:42pm - Speed chase. Speed chase. Kostner and Wabansia. 2548 and 2550 have a tan Honda with a plate of 556758 heading towards Lowell, not stopping for them.
2:43pm - Heading east on North Ave., approaching Tripp.
2:44pm - They lost the car at Kedvale and North.
2:45pm - The car is a 2011 model with four doors. It has a bike rack on it.
2:48pm - Gang disturbance. Fullerton and Ridgeway. Five of them on the SE corner throwing up signs and shouting at passing cars.
3:15pm - An RD number has been pulled from the 2:37pm job. It's HT350342 with the event number of 10424
3:44pm - Gang disturbance. Kelvyn Park. Six of them being loud.
4:11pm - Burglary. 3752 W Diversey. Neighbors broke into the caller's apartment.
4:31pm - EMS run. Ridgeway and Milwaukee. Male down behind Danny's Liquors. I was on the scene of this call. EMS took someone away.
4:54pm - Assist the PO. Diversey and Pulaski. At the Golden Nugget, an officer has an on-view disturbance and is requesting some back-up.
4:55pm - Disturbance. Milwaukee and Ridgeway. Group behind Danny's Liquors, drinking and loitering. I was just over there about 20 minutes ago and saw this happening, but CPD was in the area already.
4:56pm - Beat car 2522 is on the scene of the assist call and is giving a slow down. It's nonsense and they'll handle it.
5:01pm - Disturbance. 23XX N Monticello. Man sleeping on the ground.
5:13pm - EMS run. 19XX N Pulaski. Male bleeding. Probably related to a call made a minute ago on the SW corner of Armitage and Pulaski regarding a man punching out some glass to a CTA bus shelter. I didn't put that call up because it's on 2534's Beat, which I don't cover usually.
5:17pm - Fire. 3052 N Haussen. Drier.
5:42pm - Backlog in 25 at 17:42 hours.
5:45pm - 1) Traffic accident. Pulaski and Schubert. 2) Parker. 1800 block of N Harding.
6:06pm - Burglar alarm. 4301 W Diversey. At the church.
6:31pm - Beat car 2523 has a traffic stop at Wrightwood and Kostner.
6:51pm - Beat 2500, the Commander of 25, wants a car to go onto the 3700 block of W Diversey. He just shagged eight gang members but he thinks they're going to come back. 2505 is heading over. Oh great...
6:57pm - 1) Criminal trespass. 1713 N Harding. Three teens went into the vacant building. 2) Burglar alarm. 2010 N Central Park. At the Funston school. 3) Gang disturbance. 18XX N Harding. 4) Gang disturbance. 2700 block of N Monticello.
7:06pm - Gang disturbance. Tripp and Fullerton. Several gang members throwing bottles and yelling at passing people.
7:26pm - I have to go eat. I'll be back soon.
7:41pm - I'm back.
7:42pm - Gang disturbance. Altgeld and Tripp.
8:10pm - 10-1. Fullerton and Monticello. 2507 has a man trying to take his weapon. The man is resisting. All available units are requested to go. Thanks to ProdigalOne for grabbing this call for me.
8:11pm - Battery. 29XX N Kenosha. Caller's daughter was jumped by three girls. Also, a disregard is given on the 10-1.
8:28pm - Shots Fired. 30XX N Davlin. Three shots heard.
8:30pm - 2507 and 2532 are going in with a couple from the apparent 10-1.
8:32pm - Beat 1481Boy is giving a slow down on the 8:28pm job.
9:31pm - Disturbance. 1800 N Monticello. Male yelling on the street and loitering.
9:43pm - Just so you all know, 2507 is CAPS Sgt. Weiglein, and he sustained some injuries from the 10-1 incident. I guess he was attacked. Here's hoping for a speedy recover for Sgt. Weiglein.
9:52pm - Battery in progress. 19XX N Harding. Kids fighting in the street.
10:12pm - Burglar alarm. 18XX N Lawndale.
10:33pm - Disturbance. 2003 N Pulaski. At the gas station. Dispute with a customer.
10:44pm - I'm going to go. I'm getting up at 5am tomorrow to go to school, so I need some sleep. Goodnight everyone, and be safe.
