Missing Person Report On Dickens

Good morning, everyone, it's 8:52am. We've got thunderstorms and rain happening right now with temps in the mid 60s. Much cooler than it has been these last three days. And that's what it'll be like today. Rain and thunderstorms with temps dropping throughout the day from the mid 60s into the lower 50s. By tonight, it'll feel like we're in March again. Anyway, you're probably wondering why I'm not at school today. Well, this week is final exams, and I had no final exams to take today. So I saw no point in going. So on that note, here's crime for today.

9:59am - Beat 2570 has a traffic stop at Fullerton and Harding.

10:32am - Beat 2585 has a stop at Pulaski and Wabansia.

11:47am - Fire. 2100 block of N Kedvale.

2:02pm - Information for the CPD. George and Ridgeway. Male Black, seemingly intoxicated, is sitting on the garbage can on the corner and the caller is concerned that if he gets up, he'll stumble into traffic.

4:52pm - Beat 2566 needs some assistance at 3918 W. North Ave., on the 2nd floor.

5:43pm - Traffic accident. Milwaukee and Avers. Hit and run.

6:19pm - I have to go eat. I'll be back.

6:33pm - I'm back.

6:35pm - Beat car 2512 is assisting 2523 on a traffic stop at 3941 W Armitage.

6:49pm - EMS run. 2924 N Central Park. At the bar. A 69 yr old man is dying.

8:06pm - It's cold out, so nothing's going on, and I need to do other things. So on that note, I'm going to go. I'll be back tomorrow afternoon. Good night, everyone.

a man was killed by an attempted hit and run driver last night in logan square, just outside of the longman and eagle. the pedestrian was hit as he was crossing the street, and the car continued to drag him a few hundred feet, trying to escape as the man was screaming under his wheels. another driver was able to successfully stop the hit and run driver as he pulled his car in front, stopping the vehicle, and apprehended the driver before he could get away. very sad. be careful of all these crazy drivers everyone!

Some of these hit and runs seem like hits or something. They dont seem random, how are you not going to see or hear someone scream under the car's wheel and drag him hundred of feet.

If you're pumping up the tunes in your car, you can't hear anything.
