Robbery On Armitage

Good morning, everyone, it's 9:31am. It's a cold but sunny morning out. This is the first sunshine I've seen in nearly a week. Anyway, since I feel that I monitored really good yesterday, that I should take at least half of today off. And I will. I have to make a trip to the store around 11, and once I do that, I'm going to do some other stuff until 4:30pm, then I'll come back for the rest of the day until midnight. So, here's crime for portions of today.

9:54am - Robbery. 4106 W Armitage.

10:43am - Burglary. 2537 N Hamlin. Three male Blacks teens tried to break into the caller's apartment while they were asleep. The teens fled towards Wrightwood in the alley.

10:59am - Wanted for attempted burglary are three male Black youths, one who's "quite short", possibly about 10 yrs old, and the other two that are 18 yrs old. No further information at this time.

11:09am - I'm going to the store, and with that, I'm gone until 4:30. See you all then.

4:41pm - I'm back. Sorry for being a little late.

6:44pm - I have to go eat. I'll be back.

6:56pm - I'm back.

7:32pm - Backlog in 25 at 19:32 hours.

7:50pm - Traffic accident. 1656 N Avers.

7:56pm - Injured person. 3121 N Milwaukee. Woman fell and hurt herself on a CTA bus.

8:08pm - Assault. 2750 N Lawndale. Male Hispanic, 5'8, black jacket, threatened to shoot the caller.

8:32pm - Check the well being. 3751 W Shakespeare.

9:31pm - Disturbance. 3121 N Haussen. Kids jumping up and down, making too much noise, in one of the apartments.

9:32pm - Burglar report. 3734 W Shakespeare.

10:10pm - EMS run. 3122 N Davlin. Caller's eyes are burning. Possibly a reaction to some chemical.

11:56pm - Parker. 2319 N Monticello.

12:00am - I'm going to go. I'll be back at 11:09 tomorrow. Good night, everyone, and see you all in the morning.

10-years-old?!! Sad. Sad. Sad. Criminals seem to be getting younger and younger. One day, we are going to read about a toddler who held up a bank!

By the way, you should add downtown to your survey on where your readers live. :-)

Yeah sad but true, When I lived In the Logan Square/ Humboldt Park area I seen drug dealers take advantages of young kids. They would hold there drugs and there guns parents need to be more Involve In there child life or there going to end up dead. Yeah you should add the downtown area, I know four of my friends and I read your blog whenever we can.

Heard on my scanner that there's homeless living in the garage at 2944 N. Ridgeway.

Bobbo, when was that call? I must've not heard that one.

Anonymous, that is true, about the kids and the parents.

Timothy, I agree, it is sad. And, regarding Downtown, I wasn't planning on adding it because I wasn't going to monitor it (all of these areas I have listed will be areas I monitor on Saturdays beginning next month), but maybe I will.

It's too late, I can't edit the poll after I put it on the page. Sorry everyone :(.

The woman who lives on the first floor of that address (2944)called in about tracks walking thru her yard to the garage.

Please don't monitor downtown. No offense to anyone that likes the high rise condo life, but we on the west/northwest sides (or the rest of the real city for that matter) don't need to hear about Jersey Shore type incidents outside of douchy clubs or tourists being pickpocketed.

Thanks for the info, bobbo.

j, I agree, actually. Those were the reasons I wasn't going to monitor Downtown. That, and the fact there's not a lot of people who actually reside there. A majority of the people we see in Downtown live in the neighborhoods.
