EMS Run On Central Park

Good morning, everyone, it's 10:39am. It's a cloudy morning with temps in the upper 20s, so it's pretty cold. But it's better than last week. Speaking of the cold, Christmas Eve is tomorrow, and Christmas is in two days :). I'm happy for that, despite the fact it'll just be my mom and I here celebrating. Anyway, I'll be monitoring 25 today. Right now, I'm monitoring until 12:42pm, then I'll go do some other stuff until 4:39, then I'll come back at 4:56 and stay until I go to bed at midnight. Here's crime for today.

11:41am - EMS run. 2148 N Central Park. 25 yr old feels very weak and wants to go to the hospital. Thanks to ProdigalOne for obtaining this call for me while I helped my mom with the groceries :).

12:29pm - Burglary in progress. 2944 N Ridgeway. Someone's breaking into the vacant basement.

12:42pm - Ok, I'm gone until 4:39. See you all then.

4:39pm - I'm back.

5:51pm - Beat 2505 is doing a park check at Mozart.

7:13pm - I have to go eat. I'll be back.

7:27pm - I'm back.

7:31pm - Speed pursuit. Speed pursuit. Beat car 1511 is pursuing a vehicle wanted for striking a pedestrian. The incident occurred at Central and Lake, and they've got the car fleeing west on Fulton from Central. It's a light brown or tan van with a plate of 423021.

7:32pm - Turning right on Menard from Fulton.

7:33pm - Approaching Chicago Ave. on Menard. The offender's going at a high rate of speed.

7:34pm - They lost the vehicle. Back to monitoring just our community.

10:43pm - An RD number has been pulled from something at 4402 W Parker. It's HS674339 with the event number of 16497. Apparently, K-9 had to be ordered to this location. I didn't hear anything about this because it all happened over Citywide 1 on. Btw, it's been quiet in the community for hours :).

10:57pm - Parker. On 2523's Beat.

11:05pm - Disturbance. 4150 W Armitage. Illegal party in the vacant hall.

11:07pm - Gang disturbance. Ridgeway and Fullerton. Three wearing black and red loitering on the corner.

11:17pm - There's likely going be a shooting in the 'hood sometime tonight. This is what I got. An officer is saying that the guys from the Fullerton and Ridgeway skirmish ran towards Altgeld on Ridgeway, and while they didn't have a weapon, they did say they're coming back and will shoot.

11:56pm - Assault. 1627 N Pulaski. At the Walgreens.

11:57pm - Gang disturbance. 25X2 N Lawndale.

12:00am - I'm going to go. I'll be back tomorrow, so have a good night, everyone.

A new "Club Gibbons" coming there soon?

Burglary to a vacant building? Ain't nothing left to steal. Ever been in some of these joints, they've usually already been stripped of pipes, wire, and various other metal.
I do board-up work.

Can't remember the last time I saw a stop sign west of Kimball in Logan Square that wasn't tagged with graffiti/gang graffiti. Seems to be a lot of that lately....

Ain't gang graffiti, just tagger nonsense. Local kids writing their "name" or "sign" on things.

Sgt. Benderski, this building has someone living on the 1st floor, but it's a renter who may move out soon. Our block club is trying to prevent that building from becoming another "Club Gibbons".

Luke, while that's true, there might be items that were left in there by whoever lived there. And, not all of the graffiti is kids writing their names/signs. Some of it actually is gang graffiti.

Anonymous 12:04, agreed.

Besides nowadays these gangbangers ain't sh*t. They only got ballz while packing a piece (kinda like da cops) Man, when I was running with the Royals, we'd run the whole area. We'd whoop the Gaylords, Dueces, Jousters, and any other gang that walked about this hood.
