Early Morning 14th District Calls For 12/15/10; Call On Ridgeway

Good morning, everyone, it's 5:13am. Yeah, it's still dark out. About 8 degrees, too. Sorry I woke up late. I meant to be up at 5am, but didn't awake until 5:11. I'll have to monitor 14 tomorrow morning from 5-5:13am. Anyway, I'll come back with 25 at 6:22pm this evening. So, here's crime for today.

5:31am - Theft report. On 1414's Beat.

6:10am - Burglar alarm. 2500 N Elston.

6:34am - Suspicious person. 2924 W Palmer. Two men are looking at the construction truck parked there.

6:42am - I have to go. Have a great day, everyone, and I'll be back at 6:22pm.
---------
6:22pm - I'm back with 25. Good evening.

6:24pm - A supervisor is coding out a call from 2815 N Ridgeway. Apparently, there was a call or two over here, and he says any more calls to this address can be coded because they're nothing more but a bunch of gangbanging idiots, which is true.

6:56pm - I have to go eat. I'll be back in a few minutes.

7:03pm - I'm already back.

7:59pm - Burglar report. 4440 W George.

8:32pm - The 7:59pm job is bona fide.

8:51pm - Theft. Wrightwood and Springfield. Caller's '89 car was stolen.

9:00pm - I have to go. I'll be back tomorrow. Good night, everyone.

Man, 14 is so lame nowadays. The only trouble you have there is yuppie nonsense. Fighting over parking spots, loud parties, you know the drill. How about kicking that Puerto Rican independence day crap out of the park? It's not their park anymore. Send them to Riis park in 25.

The only crappy area in 014 is the southwest end which borders 011 and of course, 025.
We all know 025 is the worst area on the northwest side. The cops in 025 are far too soft on crime and just plain lazy. Perhaps they should relocate all the cops from 025 and replace them with hardcore ghetto cops from 007 or 002.

How about we kick the yuppies out. Have the bangers do what they did to condos back in the day, i sure would love that.

Why are all of you so mad that 14 is quiet? That's a good thing, I think. Actually, I think all districts should be quiet like that, but we'll never see the day that happens.

Anonymous 2:21, actually, I'd say at least half of the cops out of 25 do what they can to help the communities. We all know there are the bad ones (and ALWAYS make the good ones look bad), but believe me, we do have good cops in the district. In particular, I feel Beats 2531 and 2532 get some of the best officers, and my Beat, 2523, has a really good regular crew on Afternoons (at least I think so). But for some reason, 2524's Beat always seems to get stuck with some jerks on Afternoons. The 10 sector too.

Anonymous 6:34, while I may not like most of the neighborhood becoming all yuppies, I'd rather have some of them here than our gangbangers anyday.

Yuppies make the neighborhood better. Deal with it you anonymous poor losers. Why anyone would prefer gangs in their hood to good citizens is beyond stupid. I feel sorry for you.

@ F - I agree. People who say they would prefer the uneducated trash that is gangbangers to yuppies in their neighborhood is a gangmember themselves. Or they are just saying stupid things like that because they are incredibly jealous of the yuppy. I personally believe that even though yuppies can drive up tax rates and drive those who don't make as much money out, that the yuppy can greatly clean up and improve a neighborhood. Artists and professional people do make for clean and quiet blocks. No gangbangers hanging out dealing dope and acting like ghetto trash.

The area loves the gangbanger because the majority of those who live there are gangbangers. Or hillbillies. Remember, those on public aid are usually lowlifes.

F and Hector, I agree.

Anonymous 9:14, such a nice name for people on public aid. Not everyone on it is a gang member, a criminal or ghetto trash. There are actually some people, like my family and I, who aren't any of that. So I don't think we're lowlifes.
