Gold Chain Stolen At Koz Park

Good morning, everyone, it's 11:07am. Today's the first day of August. It kind of sucks for me personally, because today marks two weeks that I've been sick. Main thing is my teeth and the swelling (which is going down), but my stomach also still hurts. I really hope I get better soon. I'm two weeks behind on an important project, and I have to do it. I need to start doing it again really soon, or it will be assumed that I just gave up on it. This month, I'm supposed to see the dentist regularly for my teeth. Anyway, it's a warm day. Mid 80s with some sun. I have more to say, but I need room on this window to blog ;). Here's crime for today.

1:00pm - Theft. Koz Park. Gold chain was stolen off the caller.

1:37 to 3:17pm - Went to sleep.

3:24pm - Domestic battery. 2856 N Ridgeway.

3:30 to 3:53pm - Went to sleep again.

5:25pm - Disturbance. 2539 N Lawndale. Several people in a vehicle drinking.

6:55pm - Disturbance. 3748 W McLean.

7:31pm - I have to go eat. I'll be back.

7:40pm - I'm back.

8:02pm - EMS run. Wrightwood and Hamlin. Female thrown out of a car, apparently needs an ambulance.

9:04pm - Disturbance. Kostner and Wrightwood.

9:08pm - Disturbance. Parker and Kostner. 10 to 15 people arguing. Caller thinks they're going to start fighting.

9:21pm - Shots Fired. Milwaukee and Central Park. Caller thinks they heard six gunshots in the area.

9:25pm - A slow down is being given on the 9:21pm job. Per Beat 2561Charlie, it's allegedly fireworks.

9:41pm - Disturbance. 3942 W Barry.

9:55pm - Shots Fired. 1600 block of N Lawndale. Gangbangers shooting. They're near Wabansia on Lawndale.

9:58pm - A slow down is being given on the 9:55pm job.

10:10pm - High speed chase. West on Wabansia, then south on Central. The car has three guys in it, from a gun call on Austin.

10:11pm - South on Central from Division.

10:12pm - East on Huron from Long.

10:13pm - West on Chicago from Lockwood.

10:14pm - Still west on Chicago from Oak Park.

10:15pm - Good lord ... multiple car crash. Involving several squad cars. Washington and Central Park. Officers are yelling for ambulances. One squad car may have officers trapped in their car. All available units are asked to go. That includes officers from 25.

10:16 to 10:19pm - Police/Dispatch chatter regarding the multiple car accident. It's a chaotic scene.

10:22pm - Beat car 1512 and Beat 1541 are involved in the accident so far. 1512 is the one with the trapped officer.

10:25pm - Backlog in 25 at 22:25 hours. Be warned, this will probably last all night now, due to this accident. There are NO officers available, whatsoever. They're all at the accident.

10:54pm - Domestic disturbance. 2102 N Pulaski.

11:08pm - Suspicious vehicle. Belmont and Milwaukee. In the Walgreens parking lot, a car with a plate of 9522XX is ... doing something with kids? What? How this made it over to 25's board is unknown to me, anyway. This Walgreens is on 17's side.

11:13pm - Criminal trespass in progress. 3624 W Fullerton. Three male Blacks, one with a white tanktop, one with no shirt and the other with a grey t-shirt on are standing in the parking lot of the clinic. Obviously, they are wearing shorts.

11:22pm - Person down. Armitage and Central Park. Male slumped over the steering wheel of a red vehicle.

11:24pm - Loud music disturbance. 3060 N Avers. Loud party.

11:27pm - Beat 45Sam25Adam has an on-view person shot at 2415 N Kilbourn.

12:00am - Ok, I'm gone for the night. I'll be back in the morning. Good night.

Sorry you're still feeling so bad, Timmy. I wish there was something I could do to help. I know you are very selective in what you eat and drink but the only thing I can suggest for your stomach is Ginger Ale. It's an age old remedy for upset stomach and possibly it will help you. Don't let the name throw you off. It is non-alcoholic and ginger derived from ginger root. You can buy it at any corner store. The main thing is to get your teeth fixed. They cause all of the other side effects.

Thank you for the suggestion. I know what Ginger Ale is. I have used it before when I had smaller viruses, so I will see if mom can buy it for me when she goes to the store.

As for the teeth, mom will be calling tomorrow to schedule an appointment. I'll most likely have my appointment this Thursday.

Oh god, dragging dead animals? A block from my house? *sigh*, that is disgusting. I wonder what the heck is going on around here!!!

Erica, yeah, it is disgusting. Very. Must be some kind of practice, though. Even if it is, it's still disgusting.
