Good afternoon, everyone, it's 1:21pm. I went to go get my haircut, so that's why I'm just getting here. I also had a couple of other things to do before that. So, anyway, it seems a bit cooler outside, which is good. There is cooler weather on the way, though. How does mid/upper 70s work for you? Anyway, I'm monitoring 14 tomorrow for the folks east of Central Park. Also, I have six more days until it's time for me to take my blog vacation. I'll be gone from Sunday to Friday, September 3rd. I need a break. Speaking of that, I also won't be going to 2523's CAPS meeting on Wednesday. I'm taking a break from it this month. Here's crime for this afternoon and evening.
1:42pm - Found property. Kedvale and Armitage. Shell casings were found on the NW corner.
1:43pm - Burglary in progress. 2920 N Ridgeway. People are breaking into the basement.
2:37pm - 1) Criminal trespass in progress. 3646 W Oakdale. 2) Traffic accident. Belmont and Milwaukee.
3:14 to 3:30pm - Kind of fell asleep.
3:51pm - Gang disturbance. Schubert and Kostner.
5:49pm - Found property. 2112 N Lawndale.
6:07pm - EMS run. 3119 N Kilbourn.
6:11pm - Criminal trespass. 2337 N Monticello. Two males broke into the vacant building.
6:21pm - The 6:07pm job is a DOA.
6:27pm - Domestic disturbance. 2755 N Kilbourn.
6:28pm - I have to go eat. I'll be back.
6:55pm - I'm back.
7:14pm - Criminal trespass in progress. 2933 N Avers. Male White, baseball cap, red button-up shirt and denim shorts is trespassing via the back.
7:18pm - Municipal ordinance violation. 4100 W Fletcher. Kids riding on motor scooters on the sidewalk.
7:27 to 7:54pm - Again, I fell asleep. I'm really sorry, guys.
8:02pm - 1) Disturbance. 4425 W Montana. 2) Assist the citizen. 2859 N Springfield.
8:15pm - Shots Fired. Palmer and Karlov. Males in white t-shirts and backpacks are shooting.
8:16pm - Wanted from a shooting that just occurred at Cortland and Drake is a small back car, going towards Central Park on Cortland.
8:18pm - Beat 2563Adam is taking someone in from 3639 W Shakespeare, from a traffic stop, for an "1811" (weed, less than 30 ounces). RD number is HS477720 with the event number of 15988.
8:44pm - Person w/ a gun. Belden and Springfield. Male Hispanic, 25 yrs old, white t-shirt, blue shorts and white gym shoes, is waving a gun around.
8:45pm - for those of you with block clubs, would you mind sending me the links of your block club website(s)? That is, if you have one. I would like to link them to my blog, so other neighbors can join the clubs if they live on the blocks. Thanks. Also, whoever lives on the 2700 block of N Ridgeway, please shoot me an email. 8:47pm -A slow down is being given on the 8:44pm job.

9:11pm - Beat 2563Eddie is taking in one from Fullerton and Avers.
10:12pm - Assault in progress. Diversey and Pulaski. Blue Dodge Caravan with gangbangers in it are jumping out and threatening people on the street.
10:33pm - Parker. 2824 N Ridgeway. Car in violation of Zone 736.
11:23pm - Criminal damage. 4131 W Nelson. Some people took down a handicap sign to park at the location.
