Male Throwing Bottles In Alley @ Schubert/Ridgeway

Good morning everyone, it's 8:45am. It's another sunny morning, but a hot one, with temps in the mid 80s already. It's going to get into the lower to mid 100s today. That's right, triple-digit temps. It's going to feel unbearable out there by later. I'll be monitoring 25 today, and luckily, I'm staying in today after three days of being out, running errands and job hunting. Here's crime for today.

at about 1:00 a.m. I was standing outside Cole's bar (near Milwaukee/California) and we saw a guy down the street at 2 Amigos punch in three of their big windows, bare fisted. One after the other. Ouch.
Not sure if he was caught.

Did you call 911 and report it or are you one of those who pretends they didn't see anything?

Why don't the firemen close the hydrants? They got the tools. And they're not busy anymore because of the lack of fires in recent years.

Closing the hydrants is the responsibility of the Water Dept., and many times they need a police escort to get them turned off.
I suggest we as a community approach the city & ask them to delegate 1 person from each Ward to turn off hydrants, and provide them with the tools.
I nominate Mary LaNett. She seems like a citizen who is concerned about helping the community...

I have heard 2520 on afternoons going around closing fire hydrants. Still firemen have lots of practice, therefore while they're doing nothing, they should close them. (To Unergrounded, I'm an old woman. Have those healthy young men do it.)

I also nominate Mary LaNett. If she is willing we can get her name and address etc to our alderman. Old woman or not maybe you can at least coordinate the closing of the hydrants. I'm assuming you are retired and have time for this. Thank you.
