CTA Bus Alarm On Belmont

Good morning, everyone, it's 8am. It's a sunny morning with temps in the lower 60s, and it'll get into the lower 70s today. I'm monitoring 17 today from now until 4pm, and then I'm coming back at 6:05 with 25 until 6:45. After that, I'm gone for the night. Tomorrow, I will monitor 17 from 4pm to midnight. The reason why I'm doing this is because I have a Placement Test at my soon-to-be new college that I have to take, and I'd like to study and have a good night's rest. After tomorrow, I'll be on blog vacation until the 15th, although one of my readers has volunteered to contribute to the blog while I'm gone. With that, here's crime for this morning and afternoon.

8:14am - CTA Bus alarm. 3800 W Belmont. CTA bus #6762 is heading east with its alarm sounding.

8:34am - Narcotics. Addison and Central Park. Selling.

9:36am - Suspicious object. St. Louis and Addison. At the eastbound CTA bus stop. Some sort of object was just left there.

11:04am - Disturbance. Roscoe and California. Female passenger aboard CTA bus #1640 is being unruly, refuses to pay and now won't get off the bus. Facing northbound.

11:14am - Disturbance. 3500 N California. Female in the bus terminal, standing in front of CTA bus #1181, refusing to move. She just exited another bus and is now causing a problem for this bus. She dropped her pants and is showing her butt. May be a possible high-risk.

11:37am - Beat 1774 is at the Lorca school, over at 3231 N. Springfield, saying that a female student was playing on the playground when she fell. She hurt her head real bad. There's severe swelling somewhere on her head and it's broken, whatever it is. His radio kept cutting in and out.

12:04pm - Ambulance 46 is taking the student to the hospital from Lorca. 1774 is clear.

1:29pm - Narcotics. school avers. Eight teens smoking marijuana in the playground area near some smaller kids.

4:00pm - I'm going to go. I'll be back at 6:05 with 25. See you all then.

6:05pm - I'm back.

6:45pm - And I'm gone again. I'll be back at 4pm tomorrow. Have a good night, everyone.

Kids getting hurt on a playground? Of course they do. Most just play video games in stead of playing outside. Kids today live in a fantasy world. I pity them when they grow up. The world is lost.

"Spirit Of Encouragement", my take on this comment stuff. It is evident that Timmy is a extremely bright & hardworking journalist/community activist. It's your blog & your decision to post nonsense. However, you are entering the adult world. Some folks may not like you. Some folks are just "trolls" looking for a reaction. Don't let it effect you. God Bless

The woman on the bus sounds like Danuta, a local crazy lady. You'll see her up and down Belmont. Usually by Cicero.
