Teens Fighting In Kelvyn Park

Good afternoon, everyone, it's 3:59pm. Yet another really warm afternoon in Chi-town. I swear, it feels so much like summer. Spring hasn't even officially started yet (it starts tomorrow at 12:14am). It's in the upper 70s, and it's mostly cloudy. We're supposed to get some rain this evening. Anyway, I'm monitoring 25 from now until 6:55pm, then I have to go to the Avondale Neighborhood Association meeting at St. Hyacinth's Church (in Resurrection Hall) at 7pm. Because I have so many things to do tomorrow after school, I'm going to monitor before I go to school, and I'll be covering 14. Lastly, tomorrow is Election Day, so don't forget to vote! I'll be voting for the very first time tomorrow. Here's crime for portions of this afternoon and evening.

3:59pm - Battery in progress. Kelvyn Park. 40 teens fighting by the park, on the Kostner side. By the school as well.

4:03pm - A slow down is being given on the 3:59pm job. Nothing's going on right now.

4:14pm - Traffic accident. Fullerton and Karlov. Two cars, no injures.

4:32pm - Backlog in 25 at 16:32 hours.

4:43pm - Beat 2573 needs 2523 to slide by 3630 W George, the abandoned funeral home. They've got an open door.

5:14pm - Disturbance. 39XX W Wellington. Problem with the neighbor.

5:38pm - Beat car 2523 has a stop at Pulaski and Diversey. The wagon might be needed.

5:42pm - Battery in progress. Dickens and Lawndale. Group of 10 fighting.

5:43pm - Beat 45Sam25 is giving a disregard on the 5:42pm job. The crowd's breaking up.

6:06pm - Disturbance. Pulaski and Diversey. Two group of teens arguing. They may be gangbangers.

6:11pm - Theft. 40XX W Dickens. Stolen car. White tow truck stole the caller's '98 Buick La Saber.

6:18pm - Disturbance. 39XX W Schubert. Two young men on the caller's porch are refusing to leave.

6:46pm - Sex offense. 3051 N Milwaukee. On CTA bus 1247, which is standing northbound, a man grabbed a woman's breast.

6:55pm - I have to go. I'll be back tomorrow morning. Have a good night, everyone.

How was attendance at their association meeting this evening? I'm sure that even though they claimed that they were neutral on the proposed Aspira school, they must have been happy to hear that the zoning was approved even though the rest of the neighbors, who have lived in this community for 50+ years wanted a library and some green space. Reboyras sent a clear message that a large portion of the residents don't matter here and he will do what he wants! Time to vote these useless, politicians out of office!

That Aspira school is for troubled teens. Just the kind of brats we need wandering around here. I've seen numerous homeless and teens lurking about that funeral home on George. I've also heard they found a vat of embalming fluid which the kids are getting high on in there. Lets get a bulldozer and level the place.
