Good morning, everyone, it's 9am. It's a sunny Saturday morning, with temps in the mid to upper 30s. Today will remain sunny, with temps getting to right around 60. It's going to be a rather warm day, so we'll see how that goes with crime. Today, I'm monitoring 25 from now until 1:40pm, then I'm going to take a little break until 2, at which time I'll return until 3:33. After 3:33, I'm gone until 7:05, and then I'll return until 9:30. Tomorrow, I'm just looking to monitor the early morning hours of 25, from around 7 to 9, and then the evening hours from 9:30 to midnight. With all of that said, here's crime for portions of today.
9:16am - Missing person report. 17XX N Harding. Uncle who suffers from seizures and what not hasn't been seen since 7am yesterday.
9:22am - Holding the offender. 4030 W Wrightwood. At Aidi. Male shoplifter.
9:27am - Check the well being. 29XX N Pulaski. Male tenant hasn't been seen in a while.
9:55am - Battery in progress. 23XX N Ridgeway. Neighbors fighting.
10:24am - EMS run. Milwaukee and Monticello. Male down on the sidewalk, EMS is rolling.
11:34am - Parker. On 2523's Beat.
11:55am - EMS run. 3921 W Fullerton. Man down.
12:08pm - Beat car 2535 is asking for an event number for a traffic stop at 3700 W North Ave.
12:12pm - EMS took the 11:55am victim to the hospital. Job is coded.
12:24pm - Beat car 2523 has a black "chow" roaming the area of Hamlin and George. Animal Control needs to be notified.
1:29pm - Parker. On 2523's Beat.
1:40pm - Ok, I'm going on my little break now. I'll be back in 20 minutes. Oh, and by the way, everyone, don't forget that we have to change our clocks tonight. We're going an hour ahead.
2:00pm - And I'm back until 3:33.
2:28pm - Backlog in 25 at 14:28 hours.
2:35pm - Beat 2562David has a street stop at 3610 W North Ave.
2:47pm - Some call in the area.
2:58pm - 1) Theft. 4441 W Diversey. At the Unique Thrift store. Purse taken from a shopping cart. 2) Disturbance. 37XX W Shakespeare. Four males drinking in front. 3) Vice complaint. 44XX W Parker.
3:29pm - An RD number has been pulled from the 4441 Diversey call. It's HV194615 with the event number of 10063.
3:33pm - I'm going to go until 7:05. I'll be back. See you all then.
7:05pm - I'm back. Good evening, everyone.
8:02pm - Beat 2565Boy has a traffic stop at 3901 W Belmont.
8:25pm - A unit has a street stop at 35XX W Diversey.
8:37pm - Disturbance. Belmont and Milwaukee. People loitering.
8:42pm - Disturbance. 4354 W Fullerton. Male White, knit cap, black hoodie, is loitering by the garbage can in the alley.
8:44pm - Battery in progress. Milwaukee and Belmont. Gang fight by the restrauant.
8:53pm - A disregard is being given on the 8:44pm job. No fight.
9:05pm - Criminal damage in progress. 31XX N Davlin. Gangbangers tagging in the alley.
9:10pm - Not sure what was going on, but a group of about 10 to 12 teens gathered on my block (2800 N. Ridgeway) and then one or two cars pulled up to them with some little argument ensuing. It only lasted a minute and the teens left after that. Hopefully it was just a little spur and nothing bigger will come out of it.
9:30pm - I'm really tired, so I'm heading to bed now. See you all in the morning. Good night, everyone.

I was driving down Armitage tonight (Sat 3/10) at 1030pm and saw 2 males laying on the ground outside the liquor store on the corner of Armitage and St. Louis. There were several police there with ambulances on the way. Anybody know what happened? Shooting?
Why is CPD always on backlogs. Maybe they should get to their jobs a little faster? Code out jobs, do something guys because this is unacceptable to many folks who pays taxes here.
The cops stay down on jobs so they can go to lunch. Usually across their district or in another district. And a half hour ain't long enough in some of those fancier places they dine.
