Parker On 2525's Beat, EMS Run On Wellington

Good morning, everyone, it's 7am. It's a beautiful morning outside. It's about 70 degrees with sunshine outside. It's supposed to be in the lower to mid 80s. Anyway, I'm monitoring 25 today. I will take a nap after my dinner (I'm going to try and get my mic to record the time period I'm napping), so I can stay up tonight to monitor 14 into the overnight and early morning hours, to around 5am or 6am. We'll see how this all plays out. With that, here's crime for today.

7:20am - Parker. On 2525's Beat.

7:44am - EMS run. 39XX W Wellington. Unresponsive female.

8:13am - Theft (should've been made a robbery). 21XX N Kedvale. Male Hispanic, white t-shirt and khaki pants, stole the caller's gold chain.

8:19am - Burglar report. 3030 N Tripp.

8:29am - Wanted from the 8:13am job is a male Hispanic, 30 to 40 years old, white t-shirt and khaki pants with a red mountain bike. He fled towards Dickens on Kedvale.

8:35am - The 8:19am job is bona fide.

9:45am - Battery. Hamlin and Belmont. On CTA bus #6725, standing eastbound, a man rubbed up against a woman.

9:49am - Beat 2541 says that the 9:45am offender hopped on bus #6814 and went east towards Central Park. The offender is wanted for battery, not a sex offense as initially thought. The offender is a male Hispanic, black shirt with a gray shirt underneath, and blue jeans. Beats 2544 an 2546 are with the victim. 2541 is going east to locate that bus.

9:52am - The offender got off the bus.

9:58am - The 9:45am job is coded 19P. The victim left the scene. Event number is 049XX.

12:27pm - Battery. 30XX N Avers. Caller says he was beat up by known assailant who is still in area. No description provided. Thanks to ProdigalOne for obtaining this call.

1:57pm - Burglary in progress. Diversey and Lawndale. Two males breaking into the neighbor's house. There's no exact address.

2:09pm - The 1:57pm job is coded. It's unfounded.

2:37pm - Loud music disturbance. 1800 block of N Harding.

2:47pm - Beat 2563Boy has a handwaver on the 1900 block of N Hamlin regarding a person wanted.

2:48pm - Person wanted. Cortland and Lawndale.

2:51pm - Theft in progress. Springfield and Cortland. On the METRA tracks just south of the school, two males are on them, stealing copper.

3:02pm - 2563B is taking one in from the 2:47/2:48pm caper.

3:15pm - Parker. 28XX N Ridgeway.

3:20pm - Beat car 2523 has a traffic stop at 3253 N Pulaski.

3:22pm - 2523 needs another car, because the plate's coming back stolen. 2544 is coming over to assist.

4:48pm - Just so everyone knows, but I received a report of 10 to 15 gangbangers all loitering in front of the known drug spot at 3701 W Diversey. Just letting you all know.

5:22pm - Traffic accident. Hamlin and Wellington.

5:25pm - Wires down. 23XX N Springfield. Some Comcast wires were caught on a garbage truck and took down.

5:49pm - Disturbance. 2976 N Milwaukee. Old homeless guy in front with a walker is harassing customers.

5:53pm - Disturbance. 20XX N Karlov. Group of males drinking in the doorway.

6:02pm - Beat car 2523 has a traffic stop on the 3000 block of N Kostner.

7:02pm - Assault. Milwaukee and Belmont. Elderly citizen reports they were threatened as a result of an auto accident in the parking lot of the Walgreens.

7:03pm - 2523 tells Dispatch to transfer the 7:02pm call to 17, as the Walgreens is in 17.

7:09pm - I have to go eat. I'll be back soon.

7:22pm - I'm back

8:16pm - Disturbance. 3800 W North Ave. In the store, there's a man threatening to fight the customers and the caller.

8:25pm - Beat 2546 is coding out the 8:16pm job as a 19P.

8:38pm - Battery in progress. 16XX N Springfield. Two males fighting in front.

8:42pm - The 8:38pm job is now coming in as a "person w/ a knife". Several calls coming in. One ticket says that a male Hispanic, bald, with a black tanktop and beige pants, has two knives.

8:43pm - Parker. 44XX W Parker.

8:58pm - A 2562 unit is taking one in from the Springfield knife incident.

9:07pm - Battery in progress. 21XX N Springfield. Known male keeps pushing the caller's sister.

9:23pm - Prostitution. North and Avers. Three females.

9:31pm - Support unit request. 28XX N Ridgeway. An officer needs a 25th District unit to head over and talk to a resident at the address regarding an identify theft case.

9:42pm - Shots Fired. 3600 W Belden. Six shots heard. 14th District has a couple of calls rolling in at Belden and Drake for four to five shots fired.

9:43pm - Suspicious person. 44XX W Diversey. Intoxicated male Hispanic, 35 years old, blue hat and white shirt on a black and white bike followed the caller for four blocks.

9:50pm - Battery in progress. 41XX W Belmont. Two females fighting in the alley with a group around them.

9:51pm - From the 14th District: There were two males involved with the Belden/Drake Shots Fired incident. One was a male Black with a red shirt and jeans running with a gun. There was also a male wearing a white-striped shirt and pants also running. They were going towards Fullerton.

10:30pm - 1) Disturbance. Monticello and Belden. Drunk man on the NE corner making noise and harassing the residents. 2) Disturbance. Schubert and Lawndale. Group being loud by the Monroe school grounds.

10:51pm - Beat car 1411Robert needs a 25th District unit to meet them at an address on Haussen in regards to an assault. Someone's headig over.

11:15pm - Gang disturbance. Wellington and Karlov.
