Non-Drivable Traffic Accident At Fullerton And Ridgeway

Good morning, everyone, it's 12am. It's REALLY active on the radio. I almost couldn't keep up at one point. Unbelievable what the 4th does to this area. There are still fireworks going off, too. Anyway, it's supposed to be a pretty rainy day with temps in the 80s. We should see what happens. I probably have more to say, but my brain's off at the moment ;), so here's crime for today.

12:00am - A unit wants to know if a unit is available for a non-drivable traffic accident at Fullerton and Ridgeway.

12:02am - I'm gone for the night. See you all in the morning.

8:00am - I'm back. Good morning, everyone.

8:01am - EMS run. 1633 N Hamlin. Male laying in the grass.

9:42am - Burglar alarm. 3060 N Avers.

10:27am - Battery. Belmont and Milwaukee. Four guys just attacked the caller with a knife.

10:38am - EMS run. 3045 N Milwaukee. Female down.

11:09am - Threatening suicide. 2456 N Hamlin. 22 yr old son went into the bathroom with a cord, trying to kill himself.

11:18am - Disturbance. Fullerton and Kostner. Male panhandler in the middle of the street, pointing towards the strip mall. He is also falling asleep in traffic.

11:19am - Disturbance. 3129 N Hamlin. Male sleeping on the porch.

11:30am - EMS is needed on the 11:19am job. It's a drunk and he needs to go to the hospital.

11:53am - Burglar alarm. 3632 W Fullerton. At JS Cleaners.

12:31pm - Municipal ordinance violation. Diversey and Springfield. Illegal block party.

12:48pm - Disturbance w/ a mental. 3743 W Armitage. The high risk son just ran out of the house.

12:55pm - Open hydrant. Schubert and Monticello. Between Diversey and Schubert.

12:57pm - The 10:27am vitcim is calling back. Police couldn't find him earlier. He's now somewhere on the 3100 block of Milwaukee (I have the exact address, will not reveal it).

1:17pm - Gambling. 19X3 N Pulaski. Dice game in the alley.

1:22pm - Child abuse. 2457 N Lawndale. Three "mental" children don't have a parent or guardian at home.

2:31pm - Fire. 3030 N Kostner. Garage on fire.

2:40pm - 1) Theft. 2434 N Tripp. 2) Disturbance. 2329 N Monticello.

2:55pm - Two jobs given out in the area ... I think. LOL. Wasn't in the room.

3:06pm - Battery in progress. 3040 N Davlin. Male beating female.

3:18pm - Backlog in 25 at 15:18 hours.

3:35pm - EMS run. 4425 W Montana.

4:06pm - EMS run. Hamlin and Belmont. Male laying in between two cars.

4:11pm - EMS run. 3110 N Milwaukee. What's with all of the downers today?

4:12pm - Suspicious vehicle. 1900 block of N Hamlin. Male in a vehicle has been sitting in front of the school for an hour, casing the houses, possibly.

4:18pm - Disturbance. 2032 N Keystone.

4:31pm - An RD number has been pulled from 3955 W Wrightwood. It's HS395988 with the event number of 13946.

4:32pm - Beat 2573 is doing a premise check at 1747 N. Springfield, the pumping station.

4:33pm - One hell of a day with the drunks. The officers on 2523 are even getting sick of this now. 2523 tells Dispatch that they're all over the place at Milwaukee and Hamlin. 2523 wants 2573, the wagon, to come up there. They're on the way.

4:35pm - They're calling back about the open hydrant at Schubert and Monitcello again. This time, people are playing in the water. Cars can't get by.

5:04pm - Open hydrant. 2400 block of N Ridgeway.

5:28pm - Person down. 3059 N Haussen. Male laying in the grass in front.

6:04pm - Child left alone. 4139 W Barry. The girl who lives there is by herself again.

6:06pm - Domestic disturbance. 3110 N Central Park. Dispute with the sister and her husband.

6:27pm - 1) Assault. Fullerton and Pulaski. Male threatened the caller. He has heroin on him. 2) Municipal ordinance violation. Kostner and Parker. People selling ice cream.

6:28pm - I have to go eat. I'll be back.

7:03pm - I'm back.

7:04pm - A unit has a handwaver at 2332 N Ridgeway, possibly regarding a burglary.

7:31pm - EMS run. Springfield and Diversey. Male down at the bus stop. He's been there since this morning.

About 7:55 to 8:30pm - Fell asleep. Sorry.

8:34pm - Parker. 1800 block of N Harding. Premits.

9:00pm - Fireworks. Wellington and Kenosha.

9:13pm - Criminal trespass. 2123 N Kedvale. People in the vacant building.

9:19pm - Criminal trespass in progress. 2933 N Avers. Male just went in through the rear.

9:30pm - Fireworks. Diversey and Ridgeway.

9:35pm - The 9:19pm job was coded 19P, but another call just came in. 2523's going back.

9:44pm - Narcotics. On 2524's Beat.

9:49pm - 1) Landlord/tenant dispute. 3614 W George. Heated dispute between a landlord and tenant in the alley. 2) Fireworks. 1834 N Harding.

9:51pm - I have to go. I'll be back tomorrow. Good night, everyone.

Did you hear about the drug bust in Kelvyn Park more than 2 million dollars worth of heroin seized and 5 million dollars in cash, and its funny because the neighbors said they didnt believe this could happen there lol come on that place is a hell hole

Anonymous 9:03, I just got through reading an article on it. I'm so glad they made this bust. I think they great job. As for your neighbors, tell them to put a sock in it. You're right that it's a hellhole over.

hey timmy - any news on those skeletal remains on ridgeway?? that is some creeepy stuff!! I used to live on the 2500 block of Kimball. Scary that something like that could happen so close, but not too surprising.

Hello, marjie. No, I don't have any news on it, but I do agree that it is creepy. Yeah, it was close to you, but I'm a block from it, so I was scared out of my mind when I heard about it. Still, it's scary for the entire neighborhood.
