Residential Alarm On Talman

Good morning, everyone, it’s 6:40am. I’m here with 17 until 4pm (then afterwards, I’ll switch over to 25 until my bedtime). Why? Because, I haven’t monitored 17 on a school day yet in my year and a half of doing this blog. The only two schools in our area in 17 are Linne and Reilly. But, I’ll also be monitoring Schurz High for any fights or big happenings there. Anyway, today should be a pretty sunny day with temps in the low 70s. Here is crime in 17 and 25 today.

7:01am – Residential alarm. 3229 N Talman.

7:47am – Burglar alarm. 3500 N California.

8:03am – Loud music disturbance. 3258 N Central Park.

9:26am – Landlord/tenant dispute. 3354 N Whipple. Problem with the tenants.

9:34am – Copper wires were stolen from the ComED HQ on California.

10:20am – Commerical alarm. 3004 W Cornelia.

12:05pm – Just letting all of you know, Blogger has been down for over 12 hours. That’s why you haven’t seen any updates yet. I will update as soon as Blogger comes back up.

2:30pm - Beat 1770 is requesting Beats 1751 and 1753 to head over to Schurz for dismissal.

2:39pm - Blogger had a serious issue going on, so I couldn't do a post on it at all today, until now. The issue appears to be fixed.

4:00pm - I'm done monitoring 17 for the day. I'll be back with it from 4pm-12am on the 17th. I'll start monitoring 25 now.

4:11pm - Narcotics. On 2523's Beat. I think I know where it's for, but won't say...

4:23pm - Beat 2505 has a traffic stop at 2451 N Springfield.

4:32pm - Missing person report. 1641 N Avers.

5:03pm - Missing from the 4:32pm job is a Marian (can't spell her last name). She's a female Black, 17 yrs old, 5'2, 107 lbs, green t-shirt and blue pajama pants. She's known to have "explosive" behavior.

5:26pm - 1) Burglar alarm. 1801 N Lawndale. 2) Disturbance. 3700 W Palmer. Males in the alley. Not known what they're up to.

5:54pm - Domestic disturbance. 1626 N Central Park.

6:07pm - Vice complaint. On 2525's Beat.

6:13pm - Burglar report. 3147 N Springfield.

6:19pm - Municipal ordinance violation. 4400 W Wrightwood. Food vendor.

6:29pm - I have to go eat. I'll be back soon.

6:44pm - I'm back :).

6:45pm - Person w/ a knife. 3842 W Diversey. 28 yr old son is out of control and has a knife.

6:53pm - High speed chase. Congress and Lotus. A blue car is speeding the wrong way down Congress.

6:54pm - Two offenders are in custody, but the car's still going. South alley of Congress. The offenders had pistols on them.

6:55pm - Sounds like the chase is over. Lockwood and Congress.

7:12pm - They're calling back on the 5:54pm job.

7:14pm - Assault in progress. Springfield and Dickens. Large group of males arguing. Some on bikes.

7:17pm - An RD number has been pulled from the 6:13pm job. It's HS347627 with the event number of 13891.

7:26pm - Beat car 2524 had a green Jeep Cherokee take off from them at Dickens and Springfield. They lost it at Lyndale and Hamlin. The car had a plate of H7920XX. It lost it's bumper.

7:32pm - Beat car 2534 has the Jeep Cherokee at 2205 N Lawndale. No people in it, though.

7:34pm - Beat car 2523 is on a community concern at 3030 N Kenneth. This came up at our last Beat meeting.

7:35pm - 1) Battery in progress. Wrightwood and Kostner. Gangbangers fighting. 2) Parker. On 2524's Beat. 3) Assist the citizen. Diversey and Lawndale.

7:39pm - There's an open door at the 7:34pm thing. Another car needed. 2525 is coming over.

7:41pm - 2525 is being given a slow down. Nothing pressing. Animal control, however, is needed. There's a pitbull in the vacant house.

7:45pm - Traffic pursuit. Nordica and Wellington. Going east. White Tahoe. Driver's wanted for a large amount of narcotics.

8:00pm - I have to go. I'll be back tomorrow afternoon. Good night, everyone :).
