Drunks Drinking At Milwaukee and Avers

Good afternoon, everyone, it's 12:43pm. TGIT (in this chase, LOL)! I'm out of school until Monday. We get 3-day weekends in summer school. Anyway, it's pretty warm outside, but it's more comfortable than yesterday, and it's sunny for sure. Only a couple of clouds in the sky. Tonight, getting to another subject, I'm going to bed at 10, so I can be up at 5am tomorrow. I have to do something early in the morning. Hi Timmy - I appreciate how you are not usually one to discriminate about ethnicity or race, so I wonder why you used a title about "Polish" drunks? Is it really necessary to point out ethnicity here? The Polish community provides a lot of good things to Chicago and this negative stereotypical reference is not like you. Just wanted to bring it your attention.

Hello. Even though I put "Polish" into my title, I'm still not discriminate of ethnics and race. If you commit a crime, I feel, it's an issue with yourself.

Anyway, I put this out here because we also have Latino drunks in the area.

I'll change the title.

Christ! Why do people have to be soo sensitive. People need to accept reality more often and realize what to look for.

When I look outside I see drunk mexicans and white trash drunk hanging out on the sidewalk.

That's what I see. Observation nothing more. Timmy is posting what he hears on the radio.
"People described as Polish getting drunk" so the cops know what to look for.

Timmy, keep doing a great job, and don't be changing. We all know you are not racist here.

Anonymous 4:08, I agree. Observation is observation, nothing more. That's a part of the reason I used that for my title, as it is an everyday observation. However, this wasn't used over the radio. It's not used often, actually.

Thanks for your support and comment.

Hi Timmy and readers,

heh, @ drunks drinking
better than racial adjectives but still not accurate?

Groups that drink in public are drunks? Was the call public intoxication or just a group imbibing in public? A group of drunks vs. a group flaunting public drinking as a gang bonding? I track the actual gang related calls on a map and this makes a difference to me.

The dispatcher said "a group of drunks are drinking, per the caller", anonymous 8:36. It was NOT gangbangers. Besides, who else would be drinking on Milwaukee at noon?

Have you walked down Milwaukee Ave between Central Park and Pulakski. There are usually POlish Drunks loitering. The same ones who robbed my house. I know there are great Polish people out there.

Do you know what happened at 3649 W Dickens or what the call was about? We actually looked into buying that place a little while back

Anonymous 1:52, I walk down that stretch of Milwaukee quite often. Yes, it is Polish drunks usual loitering. They robbed your house? Wow.

Anonymous 11:17, I missed the nature of the call, but I think it was an assault. As for looking at that place, unless you really want to, I wouldn't try to live over there. The apartment buildings just east of there are really bad, and are the part of the reason of the high crime rate in that immeadiate area.

Thanks for the update. For what it's worth, we found your blog through and it helped us decide where to choose a place. We appreciate you keeping us all posted.

Timmy, I'm glad I found your blog. I live across the street from "Disturbance w/ a mental. . . 13 yr old high risk," and was wondering what went on that evening. All I knew was that there were about 3 cop cars with flashing lights on my block!
