Hello Timmy. It seems like yesterday was a crazy crazy crazy day. Lots of gangbanging, battery reports, and people with guns. The Puerto Rican Day festivities at Humboldt Park didn't make it any better. Perhaps we do need the National Guard in Chicago...?

Yesterday was definitely crazy. There was so much choas at a few points that I couldn't keep up. There was one point where the cops couldn't even keep up. I hate to say it, but I blame a majority of yesterday's choas on the Puerto Rican Parade/festival. It's normally not that crazy in 14.

It's so much better to be listening to 25 on a quiet Sunday like this.

I think we might need the National Guard, but just for big events such as the Puerto Rican parade and stuff.

Hey I live on Elbridge right near the corner of Milwaukee and Central Park. I follow your blog all the time to find out whats going on in the neighborhood. Interesting. Disturbing. I really find it useful so thank you for the effort.
Side note there was some big thing going on at Elbridge and Drake, 3 squad cars, an SUV, a police van, and then a fire truck and ambulance; all right around 8pm tonight. Any idea what happened?

Hey beef, nice to hear from someone who lives on Elbridge. I don't have a problem providing this service to you and the rest of the community. As I've said before, our powers-to-be won't do it, so I chose to do it.

About Elbridge and Drake, wow. I personally don't have a clue as into what happened, but I can ask around. It sounds pretty serious.

Thanks for the comment.

Hey Timmy,
Great blog.
Saw a helicopter circling the Humboldt park area last night around 10 for about 30 minutes. Any word on what was going on?

Hey. Thanks for the comment. I'm glad someone apprieacates me. Anyway, I'm not sure, but I'm thinking that it probably had something to do with the Puerto Rican parade/festival last night. Or, maybe, it was just hanging out in the area. They do that sometimes.

Here is a shot of a good take down and bust in the alley between Kedzie, Moffat and Albany.

Don't know what he did but got to see the whole thing. He was on a bike & he turned in the alley with police SUV behind, they pull up along side the guy and the driver reached out and grabbed him. A struggle ensued which gets bad guys a face of mace. Pic shows him enjoying the effects of the spray. =)

Anonymous 3:29, WOW. Intense stuff. It really looks like a good bust there. I wish I knew what he did to get that. But wow.
