Traffic Stop At Lawndale and Diversey

Good evening, everyone, it's 7:05pm. Today's been a good day. I was doing other stuff but now I'm ready to blog. Tonight, it's rainy and it's in the 50s. We'll see what that does with crime. Tomorrow, I'll be here from 10:57am to 4:26pm. Here's crime for tonight.

7:12pm - Beat car 2524 has a traffic stop at Diversey and Lawndale.

7:17pm - Commerical alarm. 4301 W Diversey. At the church.

7:43pm - Domestic disturbance. Fullerton and Springfield. Ex-girlfriend broke out the car windows.

7:44pm - Check the well being. 1800 N Monticello. Caller hung up while on the phone with the call taker.

7:48pm - Shots Fired. 2819 N Hamlin. Shots heard from a white van, heading south towards Diversey.

7:51pm - A slow down is being given on Shots Fired.

7:52pm - Beat 2561 is coding out the Shots Fired. He came from the south. He'll drive around a little bit.

10:10pm to 12:00am - I fell asleep. I'm really sorry. I didn't get to cover this time period at all ... again.

Hi Timmy -
I just found this blog from a Chicago cop and thought I'd share it with you and your readers. Being a cop, his language is a little saucy so be warned. There is a post from April 17th (Head Count) showing how understaffed the police are. It's going to be a long summer.

Hi Ally. I've knew about Second City Cop's blog for a while now. Yes, it's definately going to be a long summer. I can't believe we've only got about 10,000 officers working our city. They are VERY understaffed.
