Good morning, everyone, it's 10am. Today's my final day off of school (noooo, lol) from Spring Break. I go back tomorrow. Anyway, today's supposed to be in the mid 70s with sun, so there may be some activity in the neighborhood. I'll keep an eye on it. So, here's crime for today.
10:32am - Criminal trespass. 3101 N Davlin. Teens were going into a vacant building but when they saw the caller, they took off.
10:35am - The 10:30am job is coded. They live there, from what someone told them.
10:58am - Disturbance. 3636 W Wolfram. A man is in the church service at St. Hyacinth, bothering everyone.
11:35am - They're calling back at the church. Now a church administrator claims there was a fight in the women's center section of the church and they'd like to know why police never showed up. But they did. 2544 was assigned there at 10:58am, responded and gave a code. I'm guessing he'll go back.
11:38am - Domestic disturbance. 4000 W Armitage. Caller's fighting with the boyfriend about the kids.
12:24pm - Battery in progress. 3054 N Monticello. Male beating a female in front.
12:26pm - A slow down is being given on the 12:24pm job. A Spainish speaker is needed.
12:29pm - Parker. On 2525's Beat.
12:31pm - Gang disturbance. 36X3 W Dickens. They're loitering in front.
12:39pm - Battery. 2957 N Pulaski.
12:52pm - Found property. 1742 N Central Park. A purse was found.
1:26pm - Burglar alarm. 2432 N Monticello.
1:36pm - Now the 12:39pm job is coming as an "assault in progress". The two parties are having a heated argument, I guess.
1:40pm - Beat car 2521 needs some back-up on the 12:39/1:36pm jobs. Multiple units en route.
1:43pm - A slow down is being given on the 1:40pm assist call. They're all at 3941 W Wellington.
1:45pm - Traffic accident. 2400 N Central Park. EMS en route.
1:48pm - Battery in progress. 2800 N Springfield. Gangbangers fighting. Probably the ones I've been seeing around the area in the last hour.
1:53pm - Backlog in 25 at 13:53 hours.
2:27pm - Municipal ordinance violation. Monticello and Belmont. Man selling tamales (I think this is how that food is spelled) and he may be drunk.
2:39pm - 1) Disturbance. Armitage and Avers. Drinkers. 2) Disturbance. 3742 W Shakespeare. People drinking. 3) Landlord/tenant dispute. 4054 W Palmer.
2:55pm - EMS run. 2147 N Lawndale. Female is layed out in front. She doesn't appear to be a battery vitcim, though.
3:00pm - The 2:55pm job is coded. It's strictly medical.
3:13pm - Burglary. 3123 N Harding. Something was stolen.
3:23pm - Disturbance. 3656 W George. Male Black, drunk, outside, harassing people.
3:24pm - Spainish speaker needed at 2417 N Springfield.
3:32pm - The 3:13pm caller is calling back.
3:38pm - Beat car 2523 needs EMS at the 3:23pm job. That guy's passed out on the ground.
3:41pm - The guy's refusing any sort of medical services. He got up and walked away. Coded 5Paul.
3:50pm - Narcotics. Ken-Well Park. Male Hispanic, black shirt and jeans selling.
3:55pm - Suspicious person. 1928 N Harding. Male trying to kick in the rear door.
3:57pm - The 3:55pm job is coded. The guy has a premit to work on the building.
4:01pm - Wow. The 3:13pm job is actually some sort of armed home invasion. A witness had guns pointed at them. The offenders took a safe and the vitcim possibly has video of it via their video camera.
4:04pm - There's some sort of crime scene at the 3:13pm job. It's in front.
4:11pm - Missing person report. 2822 N Hamlin. 15 yr old ran out.
4:28pm - An RD number has been pulled on the 3:13pm job. It's HS241268 with the event number of 09948. Wanted from the job are two male Blacks, dark clothing and ski masks on the face.
4:34pm - Narcotics. Springfield and Wabansia. Selling on the corner.
4:37pm - Narcotics. 1600 N Springfield.
4:41pm - The 4:34pm job is also coming in as a "gang disturbance". Four males flashing signs. 2535 just pulled up and doesn't see a soul. Coded 19P.
5:09pm - 1) Loud music disturbance. 2911 N Kostner. 2) Disturbance. 2341 N Monticello.
5:24pm - Narcotics. 3167 N Milwaukee. Male smoking it up in the bathroom of Burger King.
7:05pm - Traffic accident. 2657 N Monticello.
7:49pm - Battery in progress. 2619 N Hamlin. Male beating female in front.
8:03pm - EMS 10-1. 6635 W Belmont. Ambulance 20 has a 10-1. Units en route.
