Gang Disturbance At Barry and Monticello

Good afternoon, everyone, it's 4:26pm. Sorry I'm late. I was preparing notes for an article which I have to do for school. Speaking of which, the yearly Special Olympics events begin tomorrow! I'm very excited about it. I love Special Olympics. Tomorrow is the opening events at Soldier Field. I'll fill you all in about as the days go by, if you'd like to know. Anyway, it's warm out right now. Well, on that note, I'm done talking and now I'm ready to blog until 8pm.

About 3:45pm - Battery in progress at 2954 N Hamlin with two men fighting in front.

4:42pm - Gang disturbance. Barry and Monticello. NW corner. They're screaming at passing cars, and throwing things at them. They're also flashing and representing.

5:46pm - Domestic disturbance. 2856 N Avers. Problem with the husband.

5:48pm - Reckless driver. George and Kostner. Blue Honda with a plate of H288184 is speeding.

6:21pm - Beat car 2523 gets a disturbance on the Beat.

6:32pm - Assault in progress. 4160 W Fletcher. Drug addict threatening the caller.

6:45pm - Open door. 3050 N Hamlin.

7:07pm - They're calling back on the 6:32pm job. A guy in front is breaking out car windows with a baseball bat.

7:09pm - An off duty PO is on scene of the 6:32pm job, attempting to subdue the man with the bat. He's requesting units, and for them to hurry up.

7:10pm - There's a unit on scene at 4160 W Fletcher.

7:31pm - Assault. 3837 W Fullerton. At Salvation Army. Male threatening someone.

7:53 to 8:07pm - Fell asleep. Sorry :(.

8:26pm - Parker. On 2523's Beat.

8:45pm - Switched over to Zone 1 until 9pm.

9:00pm - I'm gone for the night. I'll be back with 25 tomorrow afternoon :).

Timmy that was a pretty priceless chain of events there.

6:32 "Assault!"

7:07 "No, really, assault! Help us"

7:09 "I'm a cop, being assaulted"

7:10 cops arrive

What happens when you need help and you're NOT a cop??

Thanks as always.

Basically, odc, that's what happened. I'm actually surprised they didn't call for a 10-1 (officer needs immeadiate help) over there. As for needing help when you're not a cop, well, let's just say that you're left waiting for a cop.
