Good morning, everyone, it's 12am. Today starts the month of May. Can you believe it? I'm glad because the weather will get warmer, but unfortunately, that'll led to more violence. To help keep you on top of it, I'll be posting the locations of all CAPS meetings sometime today for this month. Anyway, I'll be monitoring 25 all day. Tomorrow, I'm monitoring 17 for our residents north of Belmont. Here is crime for today.
12:19am - Suspicious vehicle. 4443 W Deming. Stolen aqua-colored vehicle sitting in the alley.
12:20am - Beat 45Sam14 has a traffic stop at Fullerton and Hamlin.
12:22am - Car alarm. 2901 N Kildare.
12:26am - Battery in progress. Hamlin and Armitage. Group fighting on the street.
12:27am - Person w/ a gun. 3758 W Armitage. Blue commerical truck heading north towards Dickens with two men in it that have guns.
1:06am - The 12:19am job is called in again. An address on Altgeld is now given.
1:24am - Request for a supervisor. Cortland and Hamlin. An officer allegedly threatened the caller.
1:39am - 1) Some job. I forgot the details, though. 2) Parker. 3700 W Lyndale.
2:03am - Battery in progress. Belmont and Milwaukee. People fighting in the alley behind Cafe Luna.
2:04am - Beat 2520 checked out the 2:03am job. He's coding it 5Paul, nobody's out there.
2:31am - I'm going to bed. Good night, everyone. I'll be back by 9am :).
9:03am - I'm back. Good morning :).
9:39am - 1) Person down. 3919 W Fullerton. At Fullerton Hotel. 2) Disturbance. 3940 W Fullerton. At CVS. Female refuses to leave.
9:59am - Landlord/tenant dispute. 2431 N Lowell.
11:20am - Domestic disturbance. Hamlin and Schubert. Husband just tried to run the caller over.
11:58am - Threatening suicide. 4122 W George. Son is either inside the house or outside in front, and he's threatening to kill himself.
12:38pm - Domestic battery. 3841 W Belden. Mom and boyfriend fighting.
12:49pm - Suspicious person. 1657 N Harding. Woman looking into people's mailboxes.
1:29 to 1:46pm - I was paying attention on and off.
1:48pm - Two disturbances with drinkers on the 20 sector of 25.
1:58pm - Narcotics. On 2523's Beat.
2:41pm - EMS run. 3031 N Monticello. Male down in front. Probably one of the drunks.
2:47 to 3:00pm - Again, wasn't really paying attention. Sorry. But, I think an alarm on Milwaukee was dispatched along with some job on Hamlin (at 3:57, codes were given for these two jobs, so I think most likely that the jobs were given out in this time period).
3:25pm - Assault in progress. 2134 N Pulaski. Tow truck driver is getting threatened.
3:38pm - Criminal damage. 3638 W Wrightwood. Someone damaged the sidewalk.
3:51pm - 1) Narcotics. George and Avers. Female White in a purple shirt just brought drugs from males on the corner. 2) Parker. 2800 N Kenneth. Truck blocking the alley.
3:58pm - Loud music disturbance. 3922 W Wellington. Black car in front blasting music.
4:05pm - Missing person. Koz Park. Male Hispanic, 59, 190 lbs, short brown hair, red t-shirt and blue jean shorts just walked off, while the caller wasn't paying attention. The caller is the man's son. The man has that cancer which makes you lose your memory (still don't know how to spell the word).
4:13pm - Domestic disturbance. 3810 W Armitage. 14 yr old daughter refuses to listen to the caller. Also, the two 3:51pm jobs and the 3:58pm job are coded.
4:15pm - Update on the 4:05pm job: The father's been found :).
4:17pm - The 3:58pm job now comes in as a landlord/tenant dispute.
4:48pm - Landlord/tenant dispute. 2110 N Keystone.
5:10pm - 1) Disturbance. 2500 N Ridgeway. Male White twirling a ball of fire on a stick. 2) Gang disturbance. 22X8 N Keystone. They're loitering.
5:34pm - Disturbance with kids playing on 2523's Beat.
5:53pm - Traffic accident. Milwaukee and Hamlin. Person hit by a car.
5:57pm - The 5:53pm vitcim wasn't hit by a car. It was just a drunk down.
6:00pm - The 5:53pm job is being called in again, now as a disturbance with a drunk passed out.
6:04pm - Battery. 2814 N Lawndale. Roommate and the caller had a fight. Alcohol was involved. Roommate fled.
6:20pm - They're calling back on the 22X8 Keystone gang disturbance.
6:30pm - I have to go eat. I'll be back.
7:00pm - I'm back :).
7:24pm - Vice complaint. 2535's Beat.
7:54pm - Hold-up alarm. 3945 W Armitage. At the bakery.
7:57pm - The 7:54pm job is coded. There's no bakery there.
8:36pm - Traffic accident. Diversey and Kostner.
9:03pm - Loud music disturbance. 3123 N Monticello.
9:13pm - Parker. 1800 block of N Harding. Premits.
9:34pm - Battery in progress. Fullerton and Monticello. Gang fight.
9:35pm - There will be no car for Beat 2523 tonight. Beat car 2523Robert is down. Just making those of you aware who live on the Beat. We'll still have other Beat cars that can respond to calls on the Beat, but the response time will definitely be slower.
9:41pm - Beat 2540 needs a unit for a TBD situation at 3455 N Pulaski. 2512 is going, but they're coming from Fullerton and Central Ave.
9:43pm - Battery in progress. 3611 W Palmer. Male beating a female in front.
10:07pm - Loud music disturbance. 1827 N Pulaski.
10:17pm - Domestic disturbance. 3939 W Wabansia. Problem with the boyfriend.
10:33pm - Disturbances galore. 2112 N Springfield, Springfield and Dickens and 2220 N Lawndale.
10:35pm - Fire. 3121 N Harding.
10:45pm - Disturbance. Dickens and Kedvale.
11:42pm - There's no 2524R tonight either. Just great. We barely have any cars to respond to any calls in our area now.
11:44pm - EMS run. 3086 N Milwaukee. Male down in front of the clothing store. But that's Bristol's.
11:54pm - Gang disturbances at George and Hamlin, and Diversey and Kostner.
11:58pm - Beat car 2521R has an on-view disturbance at Schubert and Kostner.
11:59pm - The Diversey and Kostner now comes in as a "person w/ a gun".
12:00am - I'm gone with 25 until Monday, unless something major happens tomorrow. Standby for 17...
