Domestic Argument On Addison

Good morning, everyone, it's 12am. Today, I'm mointoring 17 for our residents north of Belmont. It'll be in the lower 70s with am rain that is supposed to clear up. Anyway, I'm only monitoring until bedtime tonight (8pm). I'll finish 17 on Friday. I have nothing else to say, so here's crime for today.

12:09am - Domestic disturbance. 3747 W Addison. Male and female arguing. With that, I'm gone. Good night :).

7:30am - I'm back. Good morning :).

7:55am - A female officer says that her car won't start. She's at 2901 W Addison. I guess she'll be ordering up R service (the person[s] that fixes their cars).

10:52am - Disturbance. 3259 N Elston. At Brands Park. Kids throwing rocks at cars.

12:44pm - Suspicious vehicle. 3201 N Kimball. Car left in the middle of the street.

2:32pm - Missing person report. 3317 N Kedzie. Male Hispanic, 18, 180 lbs, black and grey hair with some kind of disorder was last seen at 13:45 (1:45pm) hours.

3:16pm - An RD number has been pulled from the 2:32pm job. It's HS287232 with the event number of 10563.

3:20pm - 1) Burglar report. 3512 N Elston. 2) Criminal damage report. 3285 N Elston.

3:39pm - Reckless driver. Belmont and Kimball. Car with a plate of K481466 is heading towards St. Louis on Belmont, speeding.

5:13pm - Assault in progress. Brands Park. Male threatened a kid on the baseball field.

6:36pm - DUI driver. Belmont and Kostner. Headed eastbound into Avondale on Belmont is a drunk driver. I have a partial plate of A981 and I believe that the vehicle was white in color.

6:43pm - I have to go eat. I'll be back.

6:56pm - I'm back :).

8:45pm - I'm gone for the night. I'll be back with 25 tomorrow afternoon and 17 on Friday. Good night, everyone :).

I have to admit, anonymous 5:37, that I've gotten bored from time to time. But I have found some things to do while waiting for calls. Logan Square (and even Avondale south of Belmont and east of Central Park) can defintely catch up, lol.

Hello! I've been lookin at your blog for a while and I really appreciate taking the time for informing the public about the events that occur in our neighborhoods. I like in Irving Park (17th Police District). Do you think you can include more 17th distrcit events in your blogs too or at least tell us how we can obtain information or how to get a police scanner. I look forward to your blog

Hello, anonymous 8:50. I only cover the neighborhoods of Avondale and Logan Square (mainly), a little bit of Hermosa and only two blocks of Humboldt Park and West Town.

I think the best way you can obtain information is by either starting a crime blog for the Irving Park neighborhood (there was one in Albany Park that did cover some of the Irving Park neighborhood but it seems dead now), or by obtaining a police scanner. You can get those at RadioShack (the one at Belmont and Kimball comes to mind; there is where I got both of mine at). If you do by a scanner or blog, and you're not sure what to do to get it working, just email me for some help. I'm sure I can tell you how to get started.

Thanks for your comment.

Hello again! Can you tell me what kind of scanner you have? Maybe I can have an idea of what to look for if I do purchase one at the store. Is it easy to program? Use?

I have a Pro-136 RadioShack scanner. I have yet to program it because I can't figure out how to, but I think it should be pretty easy to use.
