Good morning, everyone, it's 7:40am. I'm covering 14 all day today, and tomorrow, I will be covering 25 all day until 8:02pm then briefly again from 11:22 to midnight. Not sure what my monitoring schedule will be like all of this week, but will be monitoring 17 next Saturday. I'll be heading back to school next Monday for my fifth semester of college. I'm returning to being a full-time student. .
7:53am - Battery. 1951 N Western. At the McDonald's. Female Black customer wearing a black jacket, blue pants and beige purse hit a worker in the lobby, either drunk or high.
8:01am - Commercial alarm. 1665 N Mozart. At the New Life Covenant Church.
9:00am - Parker. 21XX W Caton. Several cars are blocking the alley.
9:04am - Shots Fired. 32XX W Palmer. Five gunshots heard south of this location, called in by a retired CPD sergeant.
9:10am - Beat 1410 is confirming what the Palmer call told the 911 operator, that the shots were from the south.
9:15am - Beat 1495 has a traffic stop at Logan and Western.
9:19am - Disturbance. 2249 N Milwaukee Ave. In front of the Bubbleland. Male Black, 30 to 40 years old, dark complected, tall, medium build wearing a black leather trench coat is walking up to pedestrians as well as traffic.
9:22am - Beat car 1431 says that the 9:19am guy is gone. He told him to leave or face arrest.
9:36am - They're calling back on the 9:19am job.
10:37am - Parker. 17XX N Winchester. Car parked on the fire hydrant.
11:09am - Parker. 2000 block of W Homer. Few calls for a car parked on the sidewalk, causing people to walk in the street in the snow.
11:47am - Criminal trespass in progress. 30XX N Christiana. Several people entering a vacant apartment.
1:06pm - Person wanted. 2919 N Milwaukee Ave. Male wanted for property damage is in the liquor store.
2:15pm - Commercial alarm. 2252 N Elston. At Supreme Laundry.
2:17pm - Residential alarm. 19XX N California.
3:17pm - Person down. 2800 N Milwaukee Ave. Man down in front, unknown what's wrong with him.
3:24pm - Battery in progress. belmont kedzie. Multiple calls for a man beating up another man with a shovel.
3:25pm - Calls are still coming in on the 3:24pm job.
3:30pm - Beat car 1413 needs an ambulance at the 3:17pm job. The guy is a non-violent high risk mentally ill patient who's been off his meds and needs to go to the hospital.
4:30pm - I have to go out and run a couple of errands. I'll be back in a little while.
5:49pm - I'm back. Good evening, everyone. I'll be covering the time period I missed on Monday.
7:04pm - Assault in progress. 3142 W North Ave. At the Citgo gas station. Man is threatening the caller.
7:06pm - I have to go eat. I'll be back soon.
7:21pm - I'm back.
8:53pm - Parker. On 1413's Beat.
9:52pm - Suspicious person. 25XX N Talman. Male came up to the caller's door and tried to come in but when confronted, he took off.
10:21pm - 1) Beat 1462Adam is doing a premise check at the California Blue Line station. Event number is 12285. 2) 1462A is doing a public violation in 14.
11:44pm - Suspicious person. 17XX N Winchester. Male lurking around the block.
11:49pm - Beat car 1434Robert has the 11:44pm guy stop.
