Good morning, everyone, it's 12am. It's a rainy morning with temps around 40, and today will remain rainy until this afternoon with temps rising into the upper 40s, then falling back into the 30s. Actually, we're supposed to get a snowstorm with two to six inches of snow possible later this afternoon into this evening, with blizzard-like conditions possible at some points. We'll see how that goes. Anyway, I'm monitoring 25 this morning from now until 5:53am, then I'm headed to bed and off to do other things, then I'll return with 17 from 5:45pm to 7:07. There's a homeless man living in the yard at Monticello and Barry. He claims the police say he can stay there? Can't we get the city to do something about these homeless? Possibly deport them?

Mary, I believe the homeless are welcome to stay in the police stations. Just pack'em in the lobby.

I think the police strongarm the homeless for their beer and pocket change. When I was young the police were worse than firemen when it came to taking one's stuff.

Mary, yes, he can legally stay there. That's private property, and unless the owner of it is willing to sign a complaint, there's not much CPD can do.
