Overnight Calls In N. Avondale (12-27-12)

Good morning, everyone, it's 12am. It's a cloudy overnight with temps in the upper 20s, and it will remain this way overnight into the morning. Today is supposed to be in the 30s with clouds and possibly some snow, but we'll see. I'm monitoring 17 this overnight into the early morning hours, until 7am to be exact. After 7, I'm headed off to bed. I'll return at 2:03pm with 25 until 4:15, then I'll go on a break until 4:52. After 4:52, with the exception of a dinner break, I'll be covering 25 until midnight. I will not be monitoring tomorrow and will return on Saturday. Just going to take a day off. With that, here's crime for today.

2:09am - Check the well being. 39XX W Eddy. Three males vomiting in the alley. Probably had too much to drink...

7:00am - Okay, I'm gone until 2pm. Yep, there was only one call. I'll see you all later. Have a good morning, everyone!

2:03pm - I'm back. Good afternoon, everyone.

2:31pm - Check the well being. 29XX N Harding.

3:06pm - Open door. 2960 N Pulaski Rd. At the Avondale dental facility. Possible burglary.

4:15pm - I'm going to go until 4:52. I'll be back then.

4:52pm - I'm back.

6:06pm - Some call in the area.

7:15pm - Parker. On 2525's Beat.

7:34pm - I have to go eat. I'll be back soon.

7:48pm - I'm back. Good evening, everyone.

8:29pm - Narcotics. 27XX N Kostner. People smoking weed, they don't live there.

9:15pm to 10:55pm - I fell asleep. I'm sorry. I'll cover this time period tomorrow.

11:00pm - Parker. 2800 block of N Ridgeway. Several cars on the block without permits.

11:04pm - Disturbance. 18XX N Harding. People working on cars in the alley, making too much noise.

11:45pm - Disturbance. 20XX N Hamlin. People in the alley breaking metal.

12:00am - I'm going to go. I'll be back in the morning. Have a good night, everyone!

Timmy, get your neighbors on the vote. Let's go head to head in the finals.

Avondale vs. Rogers Park. But, first, Avondale must start clicking.

Timmy, I'm hearing the mentioned district change on Zone 3 with 012 and 014 sharing the zone, but on what was supposed to be the zone for the new 013 sharing with 015, I am still hearing cars identifying as 025. What's going on with the change to 013?

Hows CAPS working? 500 murders in Chicago & will be on the national news all week for this disgraceful honor.

Anonymous, as of now, we're still in 25. The new changeover to 13 hasn't occurred yet and I have no idea when it will. And, as far as I know, when we do make the transition over to 13, we'll no longer be on Zone 12 with 15. We'll be getting a separate Zone. Lastly, yes, the change on Zone 3 has been confirmed and has started with the new 12th District.

Alex, that's not necessary CAP's fault. I believe there's quiet a few factors in it, and apathetic neighbors who don't want to help the CPD is one of the most pressing reasons. But yeah, it's a disgrace to see our city plastered like that all over the news.

Hey Craig, how's it going? I put the link up on my blog and encouraged everyone to vote. By the way, I never did answer your question back on your blog. Things are going good at Wright. Actually, I passed my first semester classes with flying colors and have picked out my classes and everything already for next semester, and I'm already targeting a specific degree program. I'm also doing a lot better in life in general now that I'm out of Sullivan and everything, graduating high school has just opened so many doors for me. I do miss giving reports to you about the school, though, and I wish I had continued those reports in my last two years there, but I went through a phase for a while where I thought I would have more friends if I tried to be more like the other kids at Sullivan. I don't know why I thought like that, but I guess all teens go through phases. And, Craig, I'm still thankful for all of the help and encourage you've given me down through the years, and I'm so glad to see you back up and running. If you'd like, I'm willing to listen to Zone 11 once in a while and monitor the 24th District and do some reporting on your blog. Good to hear from you, and I hope you had a wonderful Christmas. Happy New Year also!
