Female Yelling For Help On Hamlin, Protesters Headed Towards The Square

Good morning, everyone, it's 8:31am. It's a sunny morning with temps in the lower 60s, and today will be around 70 with sunshine. Monitoring 25 today from now until 11:14, then I have to go to class. I'll be back later, I guess, after 5pm or so. We'll see. With that, here's crime for today.

9:36am - Person calling for help. 22XX N Hamlin. Female yelling for help.

10:09am - Just information only: There's about 100 or so protesters from Monroe heading east towards the Square. This is per Beat 2575XRay.

11:14am - I have to go. I may or may not be back today. If not, I'll see you all tomorrow. Have a great afternoon, everyone!

6:45pm - I'm back. Good afternoon, everyone.

7:18pm - Gang disturbance. Kelvyn Park. Group representing in the park.

7:32pm - Disturbance. 18XX N Central Park. Neighbor dispute.

7:55pm - An outside unit is at Koz Park and just had a couple of guys come up to them, telling them that a blue van just chased them around the park. Possibly a blue Chevy. Might be something from an earlier shooting in the area. Anyone possibly know where that was, or any details?

8:06pm - Gang disturbance. Wabansia and Harding. Six on the corner flashing gang signs.

8:39pm - Backlog in 25 at 20:39 hours.

9:15pm - Traffic accident. Hamlin and Belmont. Two cars, no injuries.

9:39pm - Gang disturbance. 21XX N Lawndale. Group loitering in front.

10:18pm - Beat 4548 needs some units in the parking lot of the bank at Milwaukee and Central Park. Big crowd there apparently.

10:22pm - I'm going to go for the night. I'll be back tomorrow. Good night, everyone.

How long before our current school system is replaced by an on-line school? Just think of the savings. Less teachers would be needed. They already have on-line college, so why not grade and high school too?

so every child can grow up to be just as lonely as you?

Yes, to on-line school. It would also be a safety issue since the streets and schools are unsafe due to the sub-standard police service in Chicago. No more herds of loud kids wandering the street on their way to school.

I noticed you blogged the Mexican parade but never did the St. Patrich's Day parade. I wonder why that is???

Anonymous 5:33, if I recall that day correctly, I DID monitor the St. Patrick's parade. The one that was in DOWNTOWN and NOT in this neighborhood, either. Check my other blog. But I do remember blogging a St. Patty's parade. So if you're trying to imply I'm racist, it's not working.
